PHOTO UPDATED: The wanted individuals depicted on this list are presently being sought by EPD for theft related offenses.

We are reaching out to the community for their help in locating these suspects. Anyone encountering the listed subjects should not attempt to contact or apprehend them, but rather call the ◼ Eureka Police Department immediately at (707) 441-4044 or (707) 441-4060.

Only 3 suspects left from Eureka's Most Wanted Poster Number 1 - John Chiv/Words Worth

Good work. NOW, let's hope the DA's Office does their part.

  1. And how long do they stay in jail?

    An hour? Two maybe?

  2. You know I don't like you and John Chiv promoting terrorism against the poor and down and out. These people who you sic the community on by plastering wanted posters on your blogs are Victims of poverty, each and every one of them. Look at the crime statistics please, Rose and John, and see that there is a One to One Correlation between crimes being committed in Eureka with the poverty areas. And that holds true universally and historically. You do no one a service by promoting society's terrorism of the poor.

Yes, it is terrorism when you enter into our police state system where you if you are poor haven't a chance at justice. What little you have will be taken from you. Your freedom and your money. Go to court, people, and see how much money is being demanded by those with wealth and power of those without wealth and power. The men sentences these poor addicts are 10-20 times as well-off, never have to worry about being homeless or jobless or any of the troubles that plague the poor.

Please stop your mean-spirited actions that make troubled peoples lives even more miserable. If you don't want burglaries and thefts, share the wealth society makes. That's the bottom line. Conservatives and law people fail to understand this historic economic fact of life.

  3. Stephen - there's more likely a a One to One Correlation between crimes being committed and drugs.

    Meth.

    Pot.

    Heroin.

    God only knows what else.

Choices people make. They have no right, none at all, to take from others. None. ESPECIALLY with so much already willingly and freely given. NONE.

  4. Most of the feedback about the posters is that people are grateful to SEE the faces, so they can recognize them when they are skulking around their neighborhoods, stealing their kids bikes, breaking into their cars, taking their cameras, and anything else of value.

It may not seem like much, but people work, and earn the money to buy those things, and they themselves aren't so wealthy that losing a bike means nothing. Sometimes, it means there is no more bike for the kid. No money to replace it.

In some countries, some oh-so-politically-correct these days countries, they'd just sever their hands for that crime.

    We're much kinder than that.

  5. These people want to steal from me and it's society's fault? Get over yourself.

They have made their bed and now they have to sleep in it.

Do you owe them a living? I think not. Keep the posters coming!

They'll ask, "why should I have to work? I'll steal and leech from those who contribute to society." Society's terrorism? Please. Get over yourself.

What about the spiritual freedom gained by actually contributing, rather than whining and playing the victim. Look into it.

  7. I'm sorry that you people haven't done your sociological homework and are reacting emotionally instead of rationally to the ways poor people deal with poverty. They try to escape the awfulness of it, the lack of freedom to do anything you want to do, the lack of opportunities to succeed against a stacked deck where the sons and daughters of the shrinking middleclass majority and rising upperclass elites have educational opportunities not available to the poor. I wish I could boat every single Republican conservative who has never learned sociology but adopts the draconian "I've got mine, fuck you" attitude selfishness that accompanies conservative beliefs over to Scandanavian countries like Denmark where they DO CARE about everyone in their communities. They treat each other more like family members while you conservative American types want to divide communities into rich and poor with the rich criminalizing the poor for being poor, as you are doing. You just are ignorant of sociological patterns that accompany corporate capitalist ruled societies like America's v.s. communitarian societies like Denmark where the people are well-off, society works, the happiest people on earth, because they've learned to treat each other as Family. You don't see the point because you don't understand that when societies don't share their wealth that is generated by Everyone in the National, the County, The City Family all part of a system, they automatically create CRIME CONDITIONS because human beings, want to survive and will do whatever it takes to survive and for many of the poor without means survival means escape from poverty by drugs. Why do you think Prohibition was repealed, Rose? The people then, everyone needed relief from Poverty by taking drugs, alcohol is a drug. America learned, but you never have. You still have never realized wealth is dependent on Everyone participating.

Go be homeless, Rose, and all you criticizing me for a week and see just how much WORK it is. Unpaid WORK to survive because no one cares. You don't care. And the homeless fall through the cracks, the poor fall through the cracks, they go to crack to get relief, any relief from being tossed aside by people who don't care. Don't care that these poor come from impoverished background where no one cared and they suffered depravation in every area and their Behavior results from depravation. Where were you when these people were kids and needed help then?

Before any of you continue on trying to blame me for being truthful while you all want to play BAD SOCIETY attacks its own production of bad actors in a vicious circle that you don't understand only is broken when you start to actually CARE about members of your community not as well off as you. Please spend a day in court and add up the money being demanded by terror (pay up or face jail) of the poor each and every day by judges sitting in judgment who salaries and benefits compared to the people before them is such a travesty of justice that Jesus would puke at its demonstration every day of the week right here in Humboldt County Courthouse and thousands more like it across America, all keeping a terrible social system going that produces what we have--thousands of lives destroyed because people don't care to share. They've got theirs and screw everyone else.

  10. Thanks, Rose. I wouldn't be surprised if all those anon comments you deleted were warm regards passed my way.

I want to say here that it's obvious I've got issues with our criminal justice system because I've gotten enough little taste of it in my own personal life to see that it sucks. And doesn't work. Our American society is way behind Scandanavians in creating a good society and I think it's due to the American tendency to create political factions where one group or one man/woman is pitted against others for seats of domination of control of society instead of society seeking with full diligence, cooperation amongst all groups desirous of helping the community. Plus I am a working Christian religious visionary so I guess I just have to speak the truth that if we don't care for the least of us we don't care for God.

  11. You know if Sparky and I pull off our new Heartlands Lifeline Lottery Project that now has two tribes waiting for the full business plan, we are living proof that out of poverty and people written off by society as losers because we, for whatever reasons, haven't managed to enter the rat-race and have paid the price for our individual paths--poverty. Yet we will have produced Humboldt County's largest economic development project ever seen, a multi-billion dollar Native American sponsored project that will bring jobs to hundreds in Humboldt County and affect thousands more. If we succeed in our 19 year effort as poor people organizing for everyone's benefit. All of us who have worked on the Heartlands Project have lived in poverty for the last 20 years yet we do work unpaid work for our community and humanity. How many others out there in our poor community could be plugged into helping others if just given a little helping hand instead of the flashing lights and sirens and court fines taking away what little remains in a poor person's life.
