Ten Grand from the Blue Lake Rancheria...
Ten Grand for Clif Clendenen.
Clif Clendenen is not far behind with $13,683. Clendenen's largest donation to date came from the Blue Lake Rancheria which contributed $10,000 to his run for office. Wonder how that came about, and what they want in return.
And look, Richard Cogswell and Esther Saunoras are back in the donations business, giving $2,000 (is that each? or as a couple?) to Estelle Fennel.
And Bob McKee is donating.... How will that affect John Vevoda's ability to vote on the Tooby Ranch issue if elected?

Surprise, surprise.
ER - CREG WILL NOT DISCLOSE CONTRIBUTORS
Just like the so-called "Alliance for Ethical Business," The "Citizens for REAL Economic Growth" won't tell you who's backing them.
How much of their money has come from "Non-Local" sources?
Think they got a substantial donation from Ester Saunoras?
Think they're not involved in this election?
So much for campaign finance reform.
"...CREG spokesperson Larry Evans said his organization does not have a strict accounting of who donated what and when.
Nor will one be forthcoming, he said of the group that is calling for a full cleanup of the Balloon Track and what it calls a “true public process” in planning for the parcel....
“Everything is on the Web site for everyone to see,” Evans said.
However, a check of the Web site — www.saveeurekawaterfront.org — Wednesday morning did not indicate who has contributed what amounts. All it listed were some of its supporters.
Evans said all of CREG’s supporters’ names may not be on the Web site. He also said it is possible that individuals who have donated money are also not listed on the Web site.
CREG supporters who want to donate to the organization can do so by utilizing the Web site, mailing in a donation or making donations when, Evans said, “a hat is passed at our events to collect money.”

Biggest surprise? No contribution from Richard Salzman. That's funny. he told KMUD listeners that he was SO impressed with this "grassroots" group that he was donating himself.
Maybe I'm missing something.
BUT....
You Eureka voters might note that most of these people trying to tell you who to vote for don't live anywhere near Eureka. And, for all their support of Measure T, these people don't have ANY trouble taking money, big money, from out of the area. And, David Cobb's column in the Times Standard is obviously just another tool for Local Solutions. The TS should suspend his column until after the election.
