If only HE could have gone and argued the case, surely the outcome would have been different. Surely.
At some point I will read the whole thing, I guess. I didn't get part the first couple sentences, and the "courageous" lawsuit. Yes. That one. The one Ken Miller wrote. The same one that was - literally - laughed out of court.
But let this record show, there was - and there is - nothing 'courageous' about an elected politician filing a lawsuit at the behest of his backers and handlers. 'COURAGE' would have been saying, "No, Ken. Sorry, it doesn't work that way."
Ken glosses over all the lies. Employs his spin doctored talking points, and his delusional version of reality. Even Gallegos knows it's false, if ever he were to admit the truth.
◼ Paul Gallegos restored honor to DA's office = Ken Miller's MY WORD in the Times-Standard
Now, if only he could restore our seasoned, trained, top-flight Prosecutors. He had 20 when he took office, right, Ken? How many prosecutors does he have now, not even counting whether they're experienced or not... six? seven?

Richardson Grove activists threaten disruptions for potential project contractors; letters warn of 'a PR nightmare' for bidders
◼ Richardson Grove activists threaten disruptions for potential project contractors; letters warn of 'a PR nightmare' for bidders - TS
Richardson Grove Action Now member Kim Starr said companies should be aware of the risks associated with the project.
”Any involvement by your company will bring you public notoriety -- a PR nightmare,” the letter states. “We wish to warn you that no matter what Caltrans claims the project will cost, it will cost you MORE -- because the public does not want it.”
One letter recipient, who wished to remain anonymous fearing retaliation, said the Federal Bureau of Investigation recently contacted the company regarding the letter, investigating the group for possible eco-terrorism. The businessman, who said the letter was sent out to at least four other contractors, said the anticipation of disruption will mean a higher bid price for Caltrans to cover extra security or equipment damage -- essentially more cost for the state.

Count the lies, spread this time by change.org
Dear ____________
Right now, Humboldt County, California, is home to some of the last remaining old-growth redwoods in the world. Many of Richardson Grove State Park’s trees have survived more than 1,000 years.
But as soon as July 1, Humboldt’s old-growth stands could be destroyed by an unnecessary CalTrans construction project to widen and “re-align” Highway 101 -- against the best interests of Humboldt County and California.
That’s why Aliana Lee Knapp-Prasek, who lives just 10 miles from the location of the proposed project, started a Change.org petition calling on Governor Jerry Brown and CalTrans to stop the project and protect Richardson Grove State Park’s irreplaceable trees.
These trees are integral to the park’s habitat -- a haven for endangered species like the northern spotted owl -- and represent an important part of California’s natural heritage.
Even CalTrans admits that “adverse effects to old-growth trees may be a significant impact to this unique natural community.”
Yet CalTrans plans to destroy 40 trees directly, and its overall effect will be even greater. More than 70 old-growth trees will be affected as CalTrans cuts through or paves over roots and compacts hundreds of cubic yards of soil in the area.
CalTrans claims the project will facilitate “goods movement” and make transportation safer, but large trucks already use the road without problems.
In fact, widening the road and subsequently increasing the speed limit will just make it harder for local truckers to compete with bigger businesses -- and make Highway 101 more dangerous.
On Tuesday, Aliana and other local residents will deliver a printed version of their Change.org petition to Governor Brown.
Add your name to help Aliana and other residents gather the 12,750 signatures they need to make the printed petition’s length the same as the height of the tallest tree in the park -- 340 feet -- and show Governor Brown how many of us care about saving one of the last stands of old-growth redwoods in the world:

Ken Miller has lost it
![]() |
| No Photoshopping necessary, bugs. THIS is how its done. |
◼ Ahoy for now
As commodore, I felt compelled both to welcome my shipmates to the War-finger and to clarify certain high level policies my inferiors are not privy (sic) to.
Like Wikileaks, the FEIS is filled with embarrassing facts my subordinates cannot discuss (besides, leaks is a Navy no-no).... it gets better...
Has anyone been able to read this all the way through? WTF is he saying? Can you decipher it?

OK - you know you've seen Salzman and Co. positioning against Prop. 13....
Maybe now we know why...
◼ ACORN Document Dump: California Voters, Prepare to Be ACORNed
Dumping 20k sensitive documents in a public dumpster isn’t anyone’s idea of smart. Even though the Attorney’s General office was about to visit the ACORN San Diego office, ACORN employees should have taken some steps to protect the information they were dumping. There are extensive federal and state laws in play here, with very serious civil and criminal penalties.
But, one shouldn’t take this to mean that ACORN is always and everywhere incompetent. You don’t build an international organization with offices in hundreds of US cities through incompetence. Part of ACORN’s secret is that it is really shrewd politically. ... is a plan for a 2-year ACORN campaign to repeal California’s Prop 13. That initiative, passed in 1979, restricts government’s power to increase taxes. One of its toughest provisions requires a 2/3rds vote of the legislature to raise taxes. ACORN, naturally, wants to scrap that....
ACORN wants you to believe that the documents they dumped last month are old fliers, leaflets and other out-dated garbage. They aren’t. The documents ...are current working documents. And, ACORN made a point of dumping them.
Stay tuned…
◼ ACORN Dumped Sensitive Documents as Probe Began, Private Investigator Says stopacorn.org
◼ Remember the ACORN OKLAHOMA Document Dump: The Oklahoma Power Plan which is SO reminiscent of the verbage we get in local "progressive" campaigns, as well as Ken Miller's happy plans for Humboldt County and Bonnie Neely following the Recall...
Just curious...
