Here's hoping the ◼ League Of Women Voters schedules it ahead of the absentee ballots being sent out. LOTS of people vote absentee the day they get their ballots, and they lose out on the chance to see the candidates side by side, answering questions, and engaging in mild debate.
The candidates' schedules are filling up quickly, they often have to juggle 3 events on the same day, plus work, and some time to sleep - so it would be nice to nail that important date down early.
Advice to candidates - line up a good hair and makeup artist at the same time you schedule the debate - MEN, TOO.
Any other forums planned? ACLU? They did a great job last time.

There's a very disturbing rumor going around about the KEET Debate. I certainly hope it is not true. ...Developing...
There is a debate in the works, scheduled for March 13th at the Eureka Veterans Building at 6:pm.
ReplyDeleteThree candidates are signed up.
Sponsored by the Humboldt Tea Party.
How about the ACLU?
Still waiting on the date of the KEET debate, too.
Updated: Forums/Debates now being scheduled.
ReplyDeleteIs the Teaparty debate open to the public?
ReplyDeleteThey say they are nonpartisan, and it's in a public building, so one would certainly expect that to be so. Judging by today's LOCO, the debate should be a barn-burner.
ReplyDeleteI assume it is. Anyone with info, please weigh in.
ReplyDeleteRose I heard the Tea Party debate time has changed. Trying to confirm but have not reached anyone. Thanks for listing these because the organizations need to do a better job advertising these to the general public.
ReplyDeleteJohn, I don't know, but I am trying to keep the lists updated. I'll see what I can find out.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like there's going to be a good variety of Forums.
I don't really call them DEBATES because they never really get to engage in the back and forth of a debate. And that has its good side, as it keeps things kinder to the participants.
