  1. So what. A Santa Cruz judge.

I read this artlce and others on the blog. Dave, who is a Libertarian, also puts out no end of anti Bush posts and participates in the vicous attacks on Palin.

It is amusing, sad too, that Sara Palin scares the pants off of the Democrats (and I guess Libertarians too). It seems as if the Dem's and Libertarians thought they had a sure thing and now ???

I did watch the CNN special last night, one hour on Sara Palin and one hour on Joe Biden. I learned something about Biden very very early in his political career (1972) that was impressive but it ended there.

Biden and Gallegos have something in common. Probably more than one thing but the one that sticks out is plagiarism. I forgot that Biden torpedoed his presidential campaign in 1988 when he was publicly busted for plagiarism.

    don't you just love politicians

  2. What makes you think Stancliff is a libertarian?

  3. Yeah, I don't see the Libertarian in there, maybe it is,

How could you forget Biden's plagiarism? It is absolutely astounding that he would be put on the national ticket with that. But, when a guy is buddies with someone who bombs his own country, I guess nothing is too base. Nothing that represents what is right (and I don't mean Right) matters. Plagiarism, that's cool. Never mind that it would get you kicked out of most schools.

  4. 9:12 AM: "...Sara Palin scares the pants off of the Democrats (and I guess Libertarians too).

I don't buy the metaphor, (a better one would be: "scares the living shit out of..") but it sure does not apply to this libertarian.

  5. The Libertarian Party of Alaska was fairly supportive of Palin in her run for Governor. However, the LPAK is supposedly a very loose organization (kind of like Humboldt LP, I understand) and I have no idea just what kind of folks make up the LPAK.

  6. I stand corrected, Stancliff is obvoiously a staunch Republican. How could I have missed that?

  7. Anonymous might think Dave is Libertarian because his article linked here, "As It Stands", is on Nolan Chart which is a Libertarian on-line magazine.

  8. What the.....

Gonzales v. Raich (previously Ashcroft v. Raich), 545 U.S. 1 (2005), was a case in which the United States Supreme Court ruled on June 6, 2005 that the 10th amendment (Commerce Clause) of the United States Constitution, which allows the United States Congress "To regulate Commerce... among the several States," Congress may ban the use of cannabis even where states approve its use for medicinal purposes.
