Protestors at the Courthouse...

Guess they must be there to protest all the plea bargains. They must be there to stand up for victim's rights, to speak out for children who are victims of child molesters and incompetent DAs. Uhhhh - guess again.

  1. Are they protesting the war?

  2. Could be the Women In Black,I've seen them out there before on a weekday evening. If so,they do stand up for victim's rights and children who are victims of child molesters and incompetent well,DA equivalents.
But I'd guess that their aim isn't completely at Paul G.

  3. They're probably protesting EPD because it is their fault that hot air ballon caught on fire in Canada. And I think it's EPD's fault that there are lots of wildfires in Greece.

I think the women in black only protest the war. At least one of them is nuttier than a fruitcake, with extra nuts.

  4. Eh, well, one of the signs said "Impeach Bush." It's getting old. He'll be out of office soon.

In the meantime, there are things happening right here that are worthy of attention. Like what's going on with Gallegos and the plea bargains, and the loss of all the prosecutors you paid to train, and who worked for you, like his losing the grants that brought in extra funding for programs that matter - or I should say USED to matter to people in this county.

Like Child Molesters and Rapists getting plea bargained away with slaps on the wrist, while innocent guys like Sean Marsh get the book thrown at them... Oh, you mean THAT mundane stuff, who cares about all that stuff, much more fun to say "Impeach Bush" and get some airtime.

  5. Martha Devine of Arcata, aka Granny Green Jeans, protests the Iraq War outside the Humboldt County Courthouse on Tuesday. Devine joined about 50 others in a peaceful rally calling for the impeachment of President Bush. The event was organized by local members of MoveOn.org.

  6. As if anyone pays the slightest attention to what protesters in Humboldt County say. Rather than spend their time protesting about something local that there is the possibility of changing they pat themselves on the back saying they make a difference. All I can say is - pathetic.
