So, who is grassrootscampaigns.com?

Grassroots Campaigns, Inc. is a national firm specializing in building grassroots support for progressive causes, political candidates, public interest campaigns, and non-profit organizations.

Winning campaigns in America now means finding new voters, new donors, new bases of support, and building long term movements for political power and political change. Grassroots Campaigns brings together an experienced team of organizers and campaign professionals to provide the progressive community with grassroots fundraising and organizing strategies that can help build a powerful and winning progressive majority in America.

We continue to partner with the DNC to run canvass operations, get more people engaged in the party, raise as much money as possible, and build on the successes of 2006. We’re continuing to work with MoveOn.org Political Action to run Operation Democracy, working with local progressives to make sure that Democrats step up and make changes on key issues.

So, they're a special interest group paying out all this money for pretend "grassroots" people and THEN -
they have the nerve to post this inspirational quote:

“The people of this country, not special interest big money, should be the source of all political power.”
U.S. Senator and grassroots organizer, Paul Wellstone

ACLU? grassrootscampaigns.com? DNC? MoveOn.Org?

Well, lucky for us, they are a CORPORATION, so under Measure T they should be prohibited from funding any local involvement, at least under their real name. How do all the little phony sub orgs (ngos) work under Measure T? Anyone cover that?

But, let's not kid ourselves, these people are really special interest lobbyists, at best, just called by another name. And Salzman? Why he was the one jumping up and down because the Recall Committee paid signature gatherers. They just didn't know how to play the shell game, to hide the money.

  1. Oh I learned from Kaitlan and Paulie, corporations are bad. And corporations don't have rights, people have rights. I learned alot from measure T. And by the by, when is Kaities next pancake breakfast?

  2. Didn't you think the activists were volunteers? People who were idealists and just inspired to give of themselves?

You can see by the number of ads that this is no small thing, and they are recruiting heavily on college campuses, especailly in the poli-sci classes. Using craig's list, very clever, makes it look like it isn't a big conglomeration, makes it look like a little grassroots thing.

So - Salzman, ACLU - we all have been wondering where his money comes from. Is it something like this? Is this why he needed copies of everything "for his portfolio'?

  3. happy to say O'Rielley(SP) was all over this Soros deal today. He understands that Soros is dangerous to the function of our Republic. Unfortunatly he doesn't see the horrible conection on radical enviro issues. He still thinking with his heart that everyone that says they want a better enviromental situation is honest as he is. As most of us on the battle front of this issue knows, the enviro leaders are all about money, power, and total control. If anyone can get the straight dope to Big Bill it would be of great value. He needs to know that baykeeper,Riverkeeper,Waterkeeper,Etc. equals Soros manipulation.

  4. I used to believe in the SPCA, the Humane Society, the Sierra Club, Greenpeace, and even Rainforest Action Network. Learning what I have learned these past 4 years, I now believe them to be more corrupt than any backwoods Southern Good Old Boy stereotype. More corrupt than anyone at Enron ever dreamed of being.

There was a point where what they were doing was good, and was motivated by all the right reasons. Now it is about money, money and more money and power and dictatorial control.

It is insidious and it is destructive, and ultimately deadly.

Legislation has to be enacted and passed that will impose regulatory oversight on the orgs (ngos).

Bias and hidden agendas have to be exposed at every turn, and special interest groups have to be stopped, just as much as corrupt corporations had to be stopped. They are no different..

So much for the ACLU's credibility. They're not about protecting civil liberties. Far from it. If they were, they would not be partisan.
