A standing-room-only crowd welcomed Johanna Rodoni with two standing ovations Tuesday — one before and one after — as she was sworn in as the 2nd District representative to the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors.ER Rodoni sworn in amid standing ovation
The Board unanimously approved appointing Johanna to serve on the 12 committees and commissions for which Roger was the primary or alternate representative for the county.
Since she said she attended many of the meetings with her late husband, Johanna said she would be comfortable stepping in to take over the appointments.
“I would be very happy to serve where he served,” Johanna said.
She will attend one of her first meetings Friday when the Code Enforcement Task Force meets for the first time to take up the controversial issue of the county’s Code Enforcement Unit’s policies and procedures
This was a great moment in Humboldt history, and it was an inspiration to watch.
