So, I just went outside. The sky is clear, but where's the moon?

In the east above the horizon for me - but some friends have a mountain range in the way,,, it's fully covered right now the midway point is at 7:26

Unfortunately it's very much like Humboldt County here in Chula Vista, overcast. Cann't wait to get back to the Northcoast, SoCal sucks.

We got to see it for about 15 minutes before a cloud came along and buried it again. I hadn't seen that the eastern horizon was covered by a cloud bank when it started.

Gorgeous shot, but my three year old daughter said that she "misses the man."

The fog cleared on the coast for nature's magnificent show. SO beautiful!

Thanks to you and Robin for the head's up Rose. The view down here in "higher" Ventura County was astounding.

Howling was espescially invigorating to the spirit.

Wasn't it lovely, Rose? I hope Jack took some of his incredible photos.
