'Sposedta be really stickin' in Fortuna, Hydesville, Loleta, the western part of McKinleyville, it was snowing at Wildberries in Arcata!

Update:The Eureka reporter has a great shot this morning from Blue Lake.
Love the one with the guy in shorts in the snow. The Times Standard has a couple of great shots, too.
Fred has links to highway webcams. Very cool.

I just saw Dr. Miller running down the street chasing the snow with a straw!

These events are usually timed to coincide with an appearance by pope Owl Gore of the church of environazism. It's nothing that the burning of 2 Hummers and a Ford Expedition cannot propitiate.

Nah, he'll revert to the coming ice age and pretend that's what he was saying all along - and the sheep will follow.

Actually, this would prove Gore and the global warming crowd to be correct,if anything. At least that's the mantra they've always thrown at me:extremely hot summers and abnormally cold winters.

And you're buyin' that?

Not too much.Don't worry,if you think I'm a Gore supporter,you're wrong.

It's snowing in Oregon, too... without ANY politicians!

You have the right river, Rose, but we live further down the Eel River near Loleta, not near Rio Dell.

None of it stuck, but it is very icey this morning. Drive carefully, everyone! I hope we get more snow with the next storm!

Is that your greenhouse, Rose? It is beautiful.

Rose said...

Thanks! Yeah - I love it!

Oooops! - I will fix it, Loleta not Rio Dell! You got some good shots! It started raining here, but this morning things are nice and white - but more hail like than snow.

Ahhh it was fun while it lasted!

I was looking at the forecast for the next couple of days. It may get colder, so let's not give up hope!

There is quite a bit of snow in Fortuna with some at our office in Fortuna.

I REALLY like your greenhouse, Rose. Did you build it or have it built? Is it glass or fiberglass? We have been considering building a greenhouse and our checking out our options.

That is a great greenhouse, Rose!
The kids across the way were out at 5:30 this morning & I heard the twin girls urging their little brother to "sit down in it, sit down in it!"
Yeah, I was out there, too.
Wheeeeeeee!

About four inches still on the ground here in Rio Dell at 11:54. Amazing.

My cat's afraid and has been in the cupboard next to the sink since yesterday. Came out a few times but doesn't seem to like the situation..

My dog (a Husky) is LOVING this cold weather!

What're ya sayin' Wollf? That I should give it up and go with the flow? Make alot of Humboldt County green? :)

Sometimes I do ask myself what is the point of bashing my head against the wall.

Hey!! I have a cousin on my mom's Sire's side that's Husky. He lives up north near Eureka with a real nice group of humans.

Blue eyes, bushy tail...chases cats.....no, couldn't be. Too many "coincidences".....
