This election

Will the citizens of Eureka vote to hand the keys of the City over to Richard Salzman?

If they vote for Ron Kuhnel, Nancy Abrams, Larry Glass, Peter La Vallee, and, apparently, Bonnie Neely, they will be doing just that.

  1. Let's hope not. So many of these endorsements are for the fab four, and of course Neely. If the fab four get voted in they will control the city. It's almost as if they are running as a single "package". If they win there will only be one point of view, one agenda. And that agenda will be controlled by persons not living in Eureka.

A vote for Abrams, Glass, and LaVallee is a step in the wrong direction (the sewer). I don't know enough about Kuhnel to comment, other than guilt by association.

  2. It must be terrible living in such fear.

  3. Wow, Rose, maybe you should rename this blog, "watchrichard" !

  4. Well it's good to know I sucked Richard out, 5:27 and 5:42 PM.

And you know it's a good idea for a WatchRichard blog. A worthwhile endeavor ........

As for the fear comment. What's a matter Dickie, you upset cause some folks are hip to your game ?

  5. You think perpetuating expensive divisive dishonest political games is a good thing for Eureka? 5:27

  6. There's a great deal of enthusiasm behind "Richard's candidates." I don't know whether they have the numbers, though I'm already out on a limb predicting a sweep. I suspect it's going to be all or nothing either way.

  7. Funny. Keep thinking I'm Salzman.

  8. We should all feel blessed this morning. According to the Reporter, we now have another group calling itself the Eureka Civic Org. They fully back the Regressive agenda for the upcoming election and whom would best fill each position. Thanks again to Dr. Ken "Quack" Miller for a generous donation of $1500.00. Just how many groups do these clowns have to form to promote their agenda? Oh by the way, same players from CREG are involved. Roy

  9. eric V. kirk - Fern Avenue in Redway is a LOOOONG ways away from Eureka.

Yes it is going to be a sweep in Eureka, but not for the regressive "slate" of candidates.

The people of Eureka are sick and tired of others from outside of Eureka trying to influence our town.

Ya'll may want to keep to things you know -- like SoHum politics.

  10. Guess what -- we may not sleep in Eureka, but some of us spend all day there -- working, shopping, etc. SO, tell me again why I shouldn't care what happens to Eureka??????

  11. OK, 7:29 PM but you don't sleep in Eureka, don't send your kids to school in Eureka, don't leave your car parked on the street overnight in Eureka, don't have your residence in Eureka.

You may care what happens in Eureka but so what. I care about what happens in Missoula Montana, Lone Tree Colorado, and Homer Alaska.

Well, that's kind of creepy, don't you think?

  13. Just a tad bit! But after all it is the information age.

  14. It doesn't matter really. There are probably 50 ways somebody can find out where I live, and if there's any danger to me it probably has more to do with my job than my blogging, but it's still weird to see that come up knowing that it's extremely unlikely that you mean any harm by it.

  15. Eric, people like you. They may get exasperated, but I doubt you have anything to worry about. If you would like me to delete the comment, I will.

  16. Not quite Rose, sometimes I almost think I may like him a little and then he does something that makes me wonder why I even thought he might be OK. Today I'm thinking he may be OK, but the day isn't over.

Eric is right, there are many ways to find out where someone lives. It's just chickshit and somewhat cowardly to put it on the blog.

  17. No need Rose. When I first saw it, my first visceral reaction was to think that somebody was watching me. I blinked then moved on. If I get that feeling again, I'll just pretend it's Daryll Hannah obsessing over me.

Anon 4:29 - Uh, let's see. I like to drown kittens. That do it for you?

  18. Now, Eric, that's creepy. They said they liked you and that it was wrong for someone to post your address, not that anyone up here knows how to find their way around Redway anyhow. Want me to delete that one. You can repost it without that - or it'll end up used against you across the blogosphere, you know that.

  19. For all his faults it's obvious Eric would not drown a kitten or be mean to animals. Maybe a republican but not a kitten.
