I mean, you're not showing up for work. You've now got allegations that evidence has been 'mishandled' in a death penalty - double-murder - case.
How about you take three months pay - let Maggie start NOW.
Before it's even more F-d up.
Talk to him, Richard.
Great idea! Hell, offer him double just to leave.
ReplyDeleteIt seems only out board of suppervisors reward total incomprehensible behavior
ReplyDeleteReally, he should leave while he still has some shreds of a reputation left.
ReplyDeleteThen you can write about what a jerk he is for leaving early. This postvleads me to believe you will never be satisfied. The election isn't even certified, aren't you a fan of due process and all that technical constitutional stuff?
ReplyDeleteNo. I will not say he is a jerk for leaving. I say he is jerk for pulling a paycheck and not showing up.
ReplyDeleteI wish him a long, happy and prosperous career in private practice. Starting now.
He's already left - if he's missing court on an important trial like Warren, even if you think nothing of the Ferrer case.
Should he make $150 grand for not showing up?
Ms. Fleming has no standing as District Attorney until January. If Paul resigns, there is no automatic mechanism that puts Ms. Fleming into office. Also, Ms. Fleming has matters to resolve at County Counsel.
ReplyDeleteWhen one accepts elected office, one accepts the responsibility of leaving that position in a responsible fashion when the time comes for leaving. There is no reason to absolve Mr. Gallegos of that task. However, he should not be permitted to squander county resources, act irresponsibly, or saddle his successor with improvident measures.
I assume Kelly Neel would take over, and then the Board - or the Governor - would appoint someone, (Maggie, the logical choice) to assume the job.
ReplyDeleteBEFORE any more damage is done.
Because consider this - just imagine Jason Warren back on the street.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Also think that Rose should get a job. She comes across as very pretentious when criticizing others.
ReplyDeleteAnd why would I think someone who hasn't worked a full time job in 15 years and has shown no leadership would be any better?
ReplyDeleteBest scenario. Paul leaves now. BOS can let Firpo right the ship and hand over the keys to Fleming in January. Whether her haters like her or not, Elan was going to turn that place upside down, get rid of the AR15s, fix paperwork mess, and get the DA Inv salaries back under control.
Fleming won't make those tough decisions, and we'll be right back where we started.
413 is, well, an idiot. The idea that Maggie hasn't worked harder than everyone else- you thugs tried that with the electorate, how'd that go for you? The idea of Elan 'righting the ship'? Pathetic. Her lack of experience, judgment, character, and basic intelligence was, again, perceived by the voters. She should be getting her resume and cover letters out ASAP.
ReplyDelete6:38 the only idiot is you.
ReplyDeleteYou do not have a clue how to manage or run anything. You do not have a clue about politics or elections.
Maggie won. Not because of you. So stop telling anyone what to do. You just know how to live off other's money.
oh 800, that is soooo delicious. thanks.
ReplyDeletesigned
13000 or so voters.
Loser.
I do not believe you are a Maggie supporter.
DeleteDid you really expect anything more from PVG??
ReplyDeleteThe proof is in the pudding. Firpo has nothing to prove now. She gets to go make big bucks in private practice when Maggie fires her.
ReplyDeleteAll eyes on Maggie for the next four years.
IF Maggie fires Elan, she is a fool. I do not think she is a fool. Apparently you do.
ReplyDeleteRose, get over the idea that you are in charge, that you know how to run an office, or that you are competent to judge performance. Your mantra of "all the candidates are wonderful" was absurd, ignored the obvious fact that Firpo was utterly unqualified, Allan unbalanced, and Klein just uttterly past it. Plus, either you know what is said around the courthouse about those 3, and ignored it, or you are woefully uninformed.
ReplyDeleteIf Fleming keeps that viperous incompetent in the office, now that would be foolish.
11:30 fortunately for the People, you are not the DA.
DeleteYou are one of the idiots that Maggie should have kicked to the curb. No achievement, just hanging Maggie's coat tails.
Maggie is not a fool. But what if elan's ego gets the best of her and she quits. Or elan fears that she will be fired and quits.
ReplyDeleteMaggie is going to do fine, but it won't be easy.
Oh, good. Down one more prosecutor. Maybe two, huh? can you run the office on 8 people? 5? Maybe 3?
ReplyDeleteI don't think so.
If Maggie was really smart she'd give Elan a function in managing the business of the office.
ReplyDeleteMy prediction is that Elan is in private practice by spring.
ReplyDeleteBy now, I am sure, Maggie will have called Elan, and they'd be going to lunch.
ReplyDeleteTwo people who were willing to put themselves out there in order to fix the office will have things in common, and might make a good team.
Regardless, Gallegos came in with a chip on his shoulder, and his loyalty oaths and all that - Maggie is not Gallegos, and not that kind of person, IMO.
So cut the threats and nastiness. They're not running against each other anymore, they both want what's best for the office, the victims, and the accused, and the people.
I hope she has. It would be good for the office. If she fires Elan, she might have to run against her in 4 years. Elan might be a little better organized next time.
ReplyDelete"So cut the threats and nastiness"
ReplyDeleteSo funny, these words from Rose who's daily dialogue isn't much different than these posters
Rose really needs to read that blog about Gallegos and Salzman -- what's it called? Oh yeah, Watchpaul.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the g'rreat work Rose. As usual you deliver a superior product.
ReplyDelete2:49, I put that in there just for you. Knew you'd like it.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I'm gathering that you think it's ok to pull down 150 grand and not show up for work?
ReplyDelete
