The Paykeeper candidate for 5th District announces

Cleary announces bid for 5th District supervisorial race

The sad thing in this race is he might actually make a good Supervisor. He'll certainly be a good candidate. But he is surrounded by some of the worst people for this County. The kind who want something in return for their support.

In other Paykeeper News, The Journal reports:
Nichols Out, Glass In as NEC Prez
Glass said the power transition took place last night. It will be his third stint as president of the board for the Arcata environmental institution but his first since being elected to Eureka City Council. Glass said he doesn’t foresee any conflicts of interest arising from his dual roles, especially since the nec dropped out of a lawsuit challenging the environmental impact report for the proposed Balloon Track project on Eureka’s waterfront.... and Glass said pulling the agency (NEC) out of debt took some drastic measures, many of which weren’t especially popular with members and supporters....

  1. "...surrounded by some of the worst people for this County."

You mean Pete Nichols of Paykeepers, Richard Salzman, Connie Stewart, Dr. (dope) Ken Miller, Bonnie Neely, etc.?

What more could the voters of Humboldt County possibly want in a candidate.

  2. All Arcata people behind him. No McKinleyville representatives.

  3. I won't support anyone who has Salzman, Miller and Nichols in the background. And I don't care even if he may be the best for the job. Evidently, he doesn't have common sense nor ethics if this is who he turns to for support.

  4. Patrick is NOT the brightest bulb in the box....anyone with any sense at all will vote even for the boob in the race (the other announced canidate) to avoid MORE of Richard Salzman, "Dr." Miller, Pete Schmickols et al. PULEEZE.

  6. Talk about a boomerang effect...do these people standing around him really think by being there this guy has a chance in hell of winning??? Do they really think they are that important and that they really have the respect of any being (including ants)with brains to see what they have done and continue to do to our community all in the name of 'saving the environment'? Alot of folks we know are buying up ammo folks - run and hide - go back under the rocks from where you came.

  7. Oh, he has an excellent chance of winning. It's who he has chosen to be aligned with that is the problem.

Why is that sad? You seem to think he'll do a good job, but since you don't like some of his supporters, you'll go with someone less qualified. That's what's sad.

  9. What's sad is that Bob's wife ha let him have an opinion again. Don't forget the dishonest John Woolley was also there. Rose was correct AGAIN!

  10. Bob - it is sad because if he felt that sleaze bags like Miller and Salzman were ok to associate with then he whatever potential he has is really not. Take someone with potential and watch them piss it away by hanging with the ethically barren. Thats all.

This is not a county wide election. Would like to see his support from McK, Willow Creek, and not someone elses district. Maybe that will come, but the associations are more than just questionable. There just plain bad.

  11. Really, Bob? Someone less qualified? Who might that be? You already know who all is going to be running?

And what, pray tell, makes Cleary MORE qualified?

He's already taking his talking points from Salzman and he doesn't know what he is talking about.

But here's something you need to know before you make a decision - where does he stand on the general Plan Rewrite - and where does he stand on private property rights? Where does he stand on jobs, and what are his feelings about predatory lawsuits? And how does he profess to bring jobs into the equation when he is aligning himself with the job killers? Then there's the big question - HCAOG.

  12. Did I hear that right? Bob just called Pat Higgins unqualified. Can I quote you on that, Bob?

  13. Heraldo's not going to like that.

  14. You know she is not talking about Pat. The big bet is if they get pat to drop out. I say his ego is too large, others say that when they pull support and funding down he goes. Will be interesting to see what happens. He is however not qualified to be doggy catcher.
Rose has got them talking at H site.
She is right he is stained by those he is with, McK regular folks will not vote for someone openly affiliated with the darkside. Scary that they feel so comfortable that they are all together in public.
