  2. I'm not a fan of Harry Reid. He must have missed the story about Ed and Elaine Brown.

Maybe he was referring to businesses. If a business has too much profit at the end of the year, they can either choose to pay taxes on it or buy equipment and make other improvements to make that profit go away. In this instance, the system is voluntary.
Not a good idea unless you are a corporate person.

  3. Paying taxes is not voluntary. However, devising ways to ensure write-off's are. It's one of the many reasons we need to abolish corporate personhood,as people(real blood bearing people) aren't given the same rights as corporations, yet corps are considered "people".

  4. Let's start with the dope growers, mresquan. Let's bring those real blood bearing people into compliance. Oranges to oranges.

  5. Well bring your conservative cohorts over with you to the legalization side. It's always been amusing to me that the left has always pushed much, much harder for legalization and taxation, while right wingers decry that, yet are the loudest to gripe and complain about the problems associated with its criminalization.Well actually,at the local level, the growing is dominated by righties for the most part.

  6. Reid is an idiot. In other countries the government just takes taxes, in this country they force citizens to figure out how much the government is going to take. Sounds like slave labor to me.

  7. I don’t think that paying taxes are voluntary. However, there may be smarter ways to evade from paying the taxes.
