A new global currency is an interesting concept which I am told the current administration has also expressed an interest in. The issue that will kill it of course is: "who will control the printing presses?".
If the obamanoid "said" it, then it must be true. After all he ended earmarks and excluded lobbyists from his administration as well as ending the reckless spending of the previous crew of drunken sailors.
People’s Bank of China Governor Zhoua tried getting across his view that a currency basket comprising dollars, euros, sterling and yen, should become a super-sovereign reserve currency. US Treasury Secretary Geithner basically said he’d be willing to look at Mr. Zhou’s proposal.

ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure Obama said in the news conference last night that he sees no reason for a global currency.
