And how did this come about?
Sent to every DA in the state? What? He can't "get Palco" by himself so now he wants the rest of the state to sign on? And the City and County of San Francisco signed on? Is Joe Cotchett involved? Is Stoen? Is this so Gallegos won't have to go do the oral arguments himself?
To all enviros, from Paul Gallegos:
We are interested in any DA's offices that want to file an Amicus Brief in our PL lawsuit. The issue is whether an entity can commit fraud in an administrative hearing and received Noer-Pennington Doctrine immunity and CCP 47(b) protection. Naturally, we believe they do not apply and, if they do, not to 17200 cases brought by a DA, AG, or CA. I have attached the San Franciso City Attorney's Amicus and will provide our briefs if any one is interested in viewing it. There is some time urgency. <<00444879.DOC>> <<00445121.DOC>>

And, to really understand just how seriously Paul Gallegos took his Appeal - read his last minute plea for help... he's under a bit of a deadline...
this guy is such a loser it is laughable.
ReplyDeletethat last post was full of insight into our modern lives in america........
ReplyDeletewhere is stoen at these days? mendocino county still?
This is a cry for help. Send Carson Park Ranger!
ReplyDeleteSparticus never lets the facts get between him and the free expression of his goofy opinions.
ReplyDeleteOhhh, it's a cry for help, alright. Ya gotta laugh, CPR. Or cry, no?
ReplyDeleteI don't know about everyone else but I'm closer to crying. We're stuck with Gallegos for a long time.
ReplyDeleteSadly. But, hey - he is the gift that keeps on giving. Can you believe he was still trying to get a grip on the arguments he's being forced to make in that PL Appeal? He doesn't UNDERSTAND the premise. It's clear enough if you read his brief - but to put out that asinine plea for help at the last minute...
ReplyDeleteEspecially when everyone's been giving him the benefit of the doubt - you know, he CAN'T decide on the Cheri Moore case because he is SO busy working on the Palco case. Now to find out he hasn't been doing anything at all...
Pretty big salary for someone who's just taking up office space.
Perhaps the only thing he works hard at is his belief that he is doing his job.
ReplyDeleteNot quite, cpr, what he works hard at is convincing a majority of the minority who still vote that he is doing his job. And as you note, that majority is so wilfully ignorant that the DA will be the DA as long as he wants to be, since no one else of stature wants the job. Here's a guy who is crying to be beat, who couldn't give more ammunition to an opponent, who will probably run unopposed. Exactly what Humboldt deserves.
ReplyDeleteCPR, Sparticus [sic]? What happened to the Zorba epithet? At least you could spell it and he was Greek:o)
ReplyDeleteI read that as "Leonidas" with the quote from Dienekes.
ReplyDeletemolon labe.
12:50, You are quite right. To ΔΙΕΝΕΚΕΣ is attributed the "fighting in the shade" comment by Herodotus. It was ΛΕΟΝΙΔΑΣ who in writing a response to Xerxes surrender offer wrote: "ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ"
ReplyDeleteThanks to Mr. Greek-style for his edifying contribution to the post.
ReplyDeleteButt out, cpr, with your nasty mind. giggle.
