◼ PART ONE: Cold feelings and hard numbers: Humboldt County District Attorney race looks at statistics
Editor's note: This is the first of three stories taking a closer look at the race to become Humboldt County's top law enforcement official. Part two, which will run Tuesday, will focus on the subject of plea bargains and case dispositions and the third part, which will run Thursday, will focus on the subjects of honesty and support.
This should be interesting.

You gotta listen to the whole thing.
Part 1 of the TS series seemed to take a tortuous route around the numbers in order to show that crime has not gone up during Gagg's term. That's BS and doesn't even take into consideration the significant number of cases that law enforcement has ceased even bringing to the DA for filing because they know they will not receive fair consideration.
ReplyDeleteHere's the news flash ... crime HAS gone up during Paul's tenure even though it is down statewide. We are NOT safer with him serving as head prosecutor, and his priorities are on personal / political agendas instead of street crime, meth interdiction and plain-ole-public-safety.
Good riddance.
