Does he have a "Use of Force Policy"?

Concerns raised over DA investigator weapons

"He (Gallegos) said his office has a use of force policy, but refused to turn over a copy to the Times-Standard, saying it's not public record.

The Eureka Police Department and the Humboldt County Sheriff's Department said their use of force policies are public record. The EPD immediately faxed over a copy.

The San Diego County district attorney's office also said its use of force policy is public record."

I say when he does finally come up with one, you ought to google the terminology.

  1. I'm telling you Rose, like I have told you before. He has to have one already if his DA Investigators carry side arms.

It is public record don't let him fool you. Send him a letter demanding it just like you (or who ever it was) did in your "Public Records Act Request re: CAST" post.

Don't let PVG Bully his way out of this one.

  2. Funny thing is, HE didn't know he had one, or he would have answered that question on the first day. It has taken him this long to come up with that answer, and then he says he isn't going to show it to anyone.

    It's a s-e-c-r-e-t. Shhhhhh.

  3. Push it Rose, get it from the office. He has to give it to you.

  4. Hah. He hasn't even complied with the May 8th Public Records Act Request for the updated CAST statistics. By law he had to provide the information within 10 calendar days.

So, I'll give him until Monday.
