"Marijuana- the peaceful herb. It's medicine! And that's why we should encourage everybody to grow a couple hundred plants."

◼ from the comments, here: MCSO: Brother Kills Brother in Yesterday’s Shooting - Kym Kemp/LoCo

Yep. It's always the same. Don't blame pot, oh no. Or the pot growers, either. No, no.

Compare and contrast the reactions and consequences of this (and any other pot related shooting) to the outrage when it's a cop shooting a person with a weapon. Just as a asocial experiment. Why is this an "Oh well..." and the other, well, what would you call it?

  3. Interesting to see the old dinosaur prejudice against pot still waving its flag despite tons of evidence that compared to America's traditional drug of choice, pot is still the most benign intoxicant on the face of the planet. Somebody needs to read the Princeton report I think it was showing that couples who engage routinely in marijuana together live together more harmoniously than couples who don't imbibe our County's famous herb.

  4. You want to end crime association with pot growing, then don't play games with legalization. Legalize it all the way through so there's no room left for criminal profit. Take the profit out of black market pot and you stop the criminal pot growers.

  6. :) 8:18 I like that, “Life’s rich tapestry"

And Stephen, I agree. Legalize it EVERYWHERE. None of this piecemeal stuff. And no more medical pot sham. Make it like wine and beer, and be done with all this mess.
