Lotta 'continuing' going on...

McCovey three co defendant case continued; Sept 15 preliminary scheduled - John Chiv/Words Worth

All these cases piling up, time running out, regular questions about 'WHERE IS PAUL?"

Look, technically, he only has to go into the office something like once a month. He can ride this thing out at full pay until mid January.

Imagine the mess by then.

  2. Paul is too busy making deals with his buddies to care about the People.

Maggie will have her hands full cleaning his mess.

  3. Rose, off topic but curious if you've ever noticed this.

"the conservative ideology, and especially one of its major facets — centered on a strong military, tough law enforcement, resistance to immigration, widespread availability of guns — would seem well tailored for an underlying, threat-oriented biology."

It's not necessarily a negative thing, I think it just is, and watchpaul's focus on all things crime is an example of this. Here's a evolutionary benefit to this.

"successfully monitoring and attending negative features of the environment, as conservatives tend to do, may be just the sort of tractable task…that is more likely to lead to a fulfilling and happy life than is a constant search for new experience after new experience"

The article concludes with this thought. "All of this matters, of course, because we still operate in politics and in media as if minds can be changed by the best honed arguments, the most compelling facts. And yet if our political opponents are simply perceiving the world differently, that idea starts to crumble. Out of the rubble just might arise a better way of acting in politics that leads to less dysfunction and less gridlock…thanks to science."

I don't know if there is a genetic difference to ideology as the article discusses and honestly I don't care. What does interest me is the definition of conservative and liberal and I think this blog is a perfect example of a conservative blog as it focuses on criminals and their punishment.

And as Seinfeld might say "not that there is anything wrong with that". Seriously, I mean it. But there is conservative, there is liberal, the both exist, they both stem from people wanting the best for the future.

Just wanted share the thought this Friday.

P.S. Thanks for not jumping on Noah's mistake to score political points.

  5. Seriously, I don't mean this deprecatingly. Isn't anyone else fascinated by the inherent differences? I think this good blog on crime and punishment is a perfect example of what this article is talking about.

And my interest in such esoteric garbage possible innate differences in those that hold diametrically opposed ideas is typically useless liberal hogwash.

But thanks for the thought anon. Inspirational.
