  1. Mr. Chiv's "summary" of Ms. Fleming's experience, typos aside, indicates that Ms. Fleming is more than qualified and appears to be the person Humboldt needs as D.A.

I know how flustered people get with this particular piece of public information (c/o elections department) but Maggie is a long-term registered Democrat. That has significance, at least to me. It won't make my decision on who to vote for despite what people like to think, but it will inform it.

  3. It's a non partisan position, as it should be, but politics are a reality and its good to know that Ms. Fleming has for a long time had the courage of her convictions in terms of party affiliation, as well as everything else.

  4. Well, well, well, isn't that funny. Since both Worth Dikeman AND Allison Jackson were lifelong registered Democrats, and proud to be so. Probably Paul Hagen and Kathleen Bryson, too.

For those of you who worry about who has a star on their belly and who doesn't, I guess.

Yes, I am a Democrat! Well spotted, Rose. However, in this county, I don't judge along partisan lines. I can hang with GOP or Democrats. So long as we are raising money for local charities and looking after our kids, our elderly, and our pets...it is all good. Oh yeah, and do not forget all our amazing artists. We need to look after them too. Humboldt seriously rocks!

    Maggie Fleming for DA!!
