  1. This was no surprise. We were all just waiting for her to pull the plug since she had no business being a felony attorney in the first place. Leaving before she has to clean up her big mess with the Ferrar case.

    1. The Defense bar are eagerly awaiting the transition chaos. Gallegos will clean up the Ferrer chaos when he is done creating the Eddie Lee chaos, and he slides into a new round of Limmie Currie chaos, and he creates further chaos with Jason Warren. (Let's see if he can also screw up Bullock right before he leaves!)

    2. This isn't about the transition or Paul Gallegos. Shame on you spewing hate at the expense of innocent victims.

The only screw up is you .

  2. Considering she just had a major victory, why don't you take your bias elsewhere. And it is Ferrer, not Ferrar.

Let those who understand law and have a clue discuss, you go back to your xbox in mommy's basement.

  3. Zwerdling and Bragg are no dummies. They grabbed Mainzer from the DAs office by making him a partner. Now, the three of them are doing the same with Firpo. Smart move for all of them. She's going to make a ton of money. Good for her.

  4. ANONYMOUS AT 6:22. You say "she had no business being a felony attorney in the first place" - Well, in a NORMAL DA's Office, she would have had time to gain experience before being taking on those kinds of cases. Instead, she was thrust into that position, and rose to the occasion. Trial by fire, and she won a difficult case. Earned her stripes, as it were. And that is how it is done, sometimes.

    1. For those that say Rose is unfair her comment at 10:24 is spot on and could not be more accurate and fair. 6:22 on the other hand is a Klein or a Maggie troll. More are planning on leaving or will be forced to leave. We'll see how that works out with all these large difficult complex cases that will need to be handled. It is tragic that Paul did not bring Maggie on board right after the election.

    2. I agree with the troll comment but attribute it to Arnie slime more than Maggie's supporters.

The office will improve instantly when the stench associated with Arnie are gone.

Bringing Maggie on board after election would not have prevented those leaving.

This thread is not about Maggie or Arnie, let's stay focused on a dangerous man put away by Elan Firpo in a case that was challenging.

  5. It will be ironic if Arnie returns. You will need a different argument. Arnie never hired anyone in that office. Gallegos did. The majority will be leaving, forced or otherwise. That will not be a good situation at all.

    1. There is no different argument. Arnie made a mess of the Ferrer case for his personal gain. Arnie is a sexist pig and lazy.

He spews hate and his groupies lie and cause dissension. The office needs to improve, not go downhill by hiring back a loser.

If Maggie hires Arnie, she will show she has no morals and made a deal to win.

The majority who will leave, if they do,
will leave because despite working under horrible conditions, they should be given a chance before hiring old timers back.

For a non politician, Maggie sure does a good job of being a good politico.

    2. Drew Isaac, Wes Keat and now Rick Grimm (who was Maggie's Treasurer) who is leaving his Police Academy gig are all old-timers coming back. That is all she is hiring. So yes, the odds are quite good Arnie is coming back. Those folks just want to feed at the trough, despite the fact that there re-hiring is probably illegal under the Pension Reform Law.

    3. Maggie hated Arnie when they were both in the office. He's not going to be offered a position. Wes moved down south. I think Issacs is the only likely return.

Shame Elan is leaving. I voted for Maggie, but Elan proved herself as a good DDA. I wish she'd stay. Wonder if Maggie ever reached out to her (or vice versa).
