Championing for causes -- and people you represent -- can be done in a civil manner

Championing for causes -- and people you represent -- can be done in a civil manner - John Chiv's My Word in the Times-Standard
It's time for a few to stop the conservative versus progressive game. Most of us, regardless of our beliefs, want the best for this community. Think how much we could accomplish if we worked together and moved our city forward.
Once again, there is an attempt to rip the community apart by fomenting anger towards the EPD. John calls it out.

And you have to ask why, when a few days before his firing, the Times Standard ran a piece touting Garr Nielsen's being a finalist in applying for two positions in other areas, when it was clear he was leaving, there is all this angst about his firing.

Where is it really coming from?

  1. You wanna see an example of civility being promoted within a political dialogue? Just read Rose's other blog for some bridge building:

  2. John Chiv wrote,"Most recently, you spearheaded a petition to fire the city manager."

Yeah, the same city manager who himself quit his job last year so he could find himself some greener pastures. What a hypocrite.

  3. Not so he could 'find greener pastures' - - and you goddam well know it.

You know EXACTLY why he was leaving, and you know that the EXACT same thing is going on now. Y---deleted-----

  4. mresquan - who posted this at heraldo? I think you know.

As mentioned on another thread, the council truly is circling the wagons. They think things aren't going to get out, but I imagine that anyone with a computer knows alot by now. In fact I can't imagine a day doesn't go by that someone isn't looking at ____ and thinking about him and his hooker friends. or ____ getting coffee, thinking about him getting coffee thrown at him by a cuckolded husband. Or ____ covering for ____ day after day, then herself running over to see ____, the list goes on... Yes these are the folks in power alright and they are counting on all this going away in a week or so. Be fun if the stink hung on for a while though. like skunk smell tends to do.

Yannow - I don't THINK that was in the job description... we know who lays these carpet bombs, right, Mark?

Anon, Rose bends over backwards to keep things civil on her blogs, but with you coming around, it's pretty much impossible. Anyone who frequents The Coffee Shop knows that it's YOU who brings all the incivility there.
