charged with a single misdemeanor count of obstructing an officer

Photographer to stand trial in homeless case
Due to his transient status, VonZabern said he was unaware that charges had been filed, or that he had a warrant out for his arrest until early 2009.

Humboldt County Deputy District Attorney Elan Firpo said the delay in the case was because VonZabern went missing and missed a handful of court dates, but VonZabern said he's been in Humboldt County nearly the entire time and simply wasn't made aware of the case or the court dates.

Another crime of the century.

  1. It may not be important to you, but it is important to the police officers from several agencies that were subjected to verbal abuse, physical assault, urine and feces, and every f-tard and his brother like this assclown that insisted on inserted themselves into the legal dismantling of the illegal campsite. At some point these spoiled smelly children must be held accountable for their "actions".

  2. I remember this whole event was really offensive, blatant baiting of the cops - Kevin Hoover covered it very well.

And no, I'm not surprised charges were filed. But if ever there was a time for a plea deal, it would be one of these "garbage cases."

    Right?

  3. It's not all that illegal to abuse cops in Arcata. Does anyone remember what happened to the drunken trollops from HSU who tried to rip a cop's eye out? Per PVG and Randy Mendoza, with a strong assist from Judge Miles, NOTHING. That's right, not a night in jail, no public service, nothing. Now, if you try to kill a deputy with a gun, that's different. But rip a hole in a cop's face, that's ok if you are a scholarship recipient at HSU. Oh, they did promise not to sue the officer if the charges were dropped. Apparently one of the little darlings broke her nail off in the cops head.

  4. The people get the government they deserve - when they vote in people like Gallegos, there are consequences. These are the consequences - home invasions killings in McKinleyville, high speed shootouts after drug deals gone bad, every other house a grow house - and Gallegos prosecutes the toddler wanderer's dad.

I'm to the point of being disgusted. I see no hope on the horizon. Humboldt County passed a line, and I don't think the damage is fixable.

You are going to be stuck with him for the next 20 years.
