TS Gundersen, alleged second victim were living together, report says
While planning the couple's wedding, the woman said she got into an argument with Gundersen after discovering he was still married to his now ex-wife, according to the report.

”Gundersen grabbed Victim 2 with both hands and started pushing her into the living room and then down the hallway towards their bedroom,” the report of the interview states. “Once in the bedroom, Gundersen pushed her on the bed. ... At this point, Gundersen took his handgun out of his holster. Victim 2 was threatened by the gun and was concerned what Gundersen was going to do.”

In the report's description of the alleged rape, Gundersen is said to put down the gun, at which point the woman states she contemplated picking it up and shooting Gundersen but she said couldn't bring herself to do it because Gundersen's two sons were in the other room.

The report states the woman said she left Gundersen the next day, and made a report to Eureka Police Sgt. Len Johnson 19 days later.

TS lInvestigation report: Gundersen's ex-wife also alleges drugging, rape
"(Gundersen's ex-wife) noticed shortly after she drank her wine, approximately 45 minutes, she would become sleepy and have to go to bed,” the report states.

The ex-wife is also reported as saying that on one occasion she noticed a white sediment in the bottom of her glass.

”She started to realize that Dave may be drugging her and then raping her,” the report states. “She inventoried her medication and found her unopened bottle of Ambien had been opened and 3 1/2 pills were removed."

Blue Lake's gun arsenal called shocking
Until recently, the Blue Lake Police Department had a chief, a sergeant, two officers and 27 submachine guns,,, Eureka Police Chief Garr Nielsen said EPD's SWAT team, which was disbanded last year, didn't have a single fully automatic weapon.,, Reached Tuesday, Blue Lake City Manager Wiley Buck said the department acquired the submachine guns about a year ago, but had no intent to use them and didn't pay for them.

”We didn't purchase any of them,” Buck said. “They were free from other departments or free from companies. ... They were just sitting in boxes; we never used them.”

Buck said Gundersen acquired the guns with the intent of loaning them out to other local agencies. Buck said the department loaned two of the submachine guns to the Rio Dell Police Department in exchange for traffic monitoring devices.

Rio Dell Police Chief Graham Hill confirmed that his department did have two of Blue Lake's Colt AR-15s for a while, but returned them after Gundersen's arrest.

  1. No one I know takes sleeping pills. What are the odds Gundersen knows three. This is weird.

  2. hmm, the "second victim" was not his ex-wife after all.

hmm, she apparently reported the assualt to EPD, and the officer who took the report "can't remember" what happened next, in a case that was based on charges against a police chief. big surprise there.

  3. no one you know tells you they take sleeping pills. Or drinks,
    or is gay . . .

  4. 1:34,
just in case you need help, here are some tips...if you see two people of the same sex kissing or holding hands, they are most likely gay, even if they dont "tell you".......if you smell alcohol on someone's breath, or see them at a bar, or see them act drunk, they most likely drink alcohol.....if someone has sleeping pills in their medicine cabinet, its a good sign that they take sleeping pills.....

sometimes it helps to read between the lines....the fact that another poster told you that he/she doenst know anyone who takes sleeping pills doesnt make it true.

  5. this story only reinforces my belief that every single public employee and elected official, no matter how powerful, needs to be subjected to an intense series of drug tests.......

why are the strongest drugs the least regulated?

  6. Let's hear it Gallegos haters.

    GOOD JOB PAUL!!

  7. It may come to that, but for now, let's see how this plays out in court.

You wonder why people are skeptical?

    The Palco case
    The Sean Marsh case
    The plagiarized My Words
    Derek Bowman
    The Mad River Dog case
    The Whitethorn rape case
    just to name a few...

Gundersen certainly looks bad, and may in fact BE bad, nobody has a kind word to say, but this is another case being tried in public and not in the courtroom. Those investigator's files must be open public documents at this point.

Don't worry, there's a Good Boy, Paul! gold star waiting for him, I think that'll make three.

  8. Yes Rose, let's excersize restraint! You're SOOOO good at it!

Fuck you Rose. You have used this incident as a way to slander Paul and his family. Bringing in Joan and perpetuating a rumor about his marriage you HAVE NO EVIDENCE to support.

You are a disgusting lecherous B----. How fair of yoou to give the guy a gold star.

  9. Let's elaborate on that list above, shall we?

And while we're at it, let's explore what makes these small town boys like Gundersen and Paul need assault arsenals...

  10. 11:01 pm - hey Ms. Nichols - how was your evening?

No one slandered Gallegos. The truth is not slander girlie girl!

Look at the sign outside of Gallegos's other office - it says "Gallegos and Gallegos" and not "Joan Gallegos."

The idiot should have recused himself. Period. He is acting in a corrupt manner trying this thing in the press. He is violating state bar ethics on a second by second basis. Truly a pathetic pos if you ask me.

If Gunderson is guilty, I hope the AG gets involved so to get a conviction because the "idiot upstairs" doesn't have the staff to put the case together for him and he certainly doesn't have the brain pan or the work ethic to do it either.

Did you read the PALCO appeal. It is truly revealing that this guy is incoherent.

    ReplyDelete
  11. She doesn't care 8:29. All that matters is that Paul has the "courage" to keep filing that Palco case.

Have you noticed the increasing use of the word "courage" by the Miller/Lovelace/Baykeeper crowd?

During the TPZ hearings, operative after operative got up to praise the Board for their "courage" in going after Palco, now it's Pat Higgins who has the "courage" to fight the harbor Commission - "courage" is now a buzzword for doing what we want - stoking and petting the egos of those who go along, while vicious attacks ensue for those who dare to question the anointed ones.

At any rate - Gundersen's best hope is Gallegos. From all appearances, the Sheriff's Office, recognizing their own conflicts, brought the DA's Office in early because they did not want this investigation tainted - then were blindsided by the fact that Gallegos' wife was/is involved.

Contrary to what the cop haters on heraldo say, law enforcement officers do not like or tolerate what they see as dirty cops.

I don't know how many cases are going to have to go to the AG before people catch on, but this is clearly another one that cannot be cleanly handled by the Humboldt County DA's Office.

  12. "then were blindsided by the fact that Gallegos' wife was/is involved."

Interesting thing is that had Dikeman been elected it's quite possible that conflicts like this could have arose with him.And certainly Terry and Bonnie's connection should have raised more eyebrows than it did.Just saying.

  13. Fair comment, mresquan.

  14. The Paulie-boy cocksuckers sure do get heated, don't they? And by the way, I don't think Rose gave that sack of shit a gold start. We still have to see what a mess he makes of trying to compel testimony from an alleged rape victim in direct violation of law. So suck on that, fuckstick.

  15. Gold star. Whatever.

  16. Looks like we'll be rid of our local socialist on the BOS Jonh Woolley just to have him replaced by the full blown communist Mark(kool-aid) Loveless. Old saying,"Be careful what you wish for". Eureka hell, the whole damn county is turning into a shit hole.

  17. 11:01 says "fuck you" but then censors herself when calling you a "bitch". Twisted (but interesting & amusing) bit of ethical restraint there, I'd say.
So, who is she? Paul's mistress, or what? She certainly sounds like a jealous girlfriend when she comes to his defense that vehemently! Wonder if the fairer half of Gallegos & Gallegos reads this blog.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Is there a fairer half?

  19. Keep pushing their buttons, Rose. It's refreshing to see their hatred out in the open like that.

  21. Well, according to the times standard, cops can have all the machine guns and silencers they want " state law allows a law enforcement agency to buy machine guns, and for officers to have them and silencers -- as long as they use them in an official capacity and within the scope of their duties. In fact, there is no limit on the number of submachine guns an agency can have, said California Department of Justice spokesman Abraham Arredondo". So the DA will have to prove the weapons were not withing the scope of duty. Given that the DA's mentor, the late lamented Mr. Vroman, had the same weapon (HKMP5) in his home and his office and
so did some of his DA's it will be interesting to watch that part of the case develop.
One wonders if the DA's office was aware of the law before the charges were filed.
This is going to be a FABULOUS
    preliminary hearing.

  22. I agree, it will be a fabulous preliminary hearing.

    when is it again ?

  23. Heh....Right on comment Ms.Robin. Interestesting "oddity" in self censorship.
