Thanks for the link??? I'll pass it on. Nice documentary. I remember when I was in high school (1973-75) and the news wa that we would run out of fossel fuels in 20-30 years. This even made most major media. Today, we have more known fossel fuel reserves! I drove a little, itty-bitty car up to 2003, thirty+ years. No more!! I have a big f#@*&ing 4X4 and don't know why I waited so long.
Hey not so fast. Al Gore is a marketing genious. With this carefully crafted sales pitch he will start the single largest government tax increase in history. He will also make most of America believe that he is their shining night and the come to Jesus call of trillions in phony enviromental programs will insure them a place in "THE JULIEA BUTTERFLY HILL REDWOOD TREE IN PARADICE" and that thier childrens future will all be owed to the Saintly vision of Al Gore. Gore is many things but dumb ain't one of'em.
A bit off track but I just read the NCJ's Town Dandy. There was mention of the Cheri Moore shooting by police in April 2006. Mention that the District Attorney has been contacted but will not respond.
April 2007 is just around the corner and still no public decision on this high profile local issue. What can be taking so long ? Still under investigation ? Doubtful. The article points out the Coroners inquest was completed last Septmeber. What is the holdup ? Could there possibly be a reasonable excuse for delay ? Am I and the Town Dandy the only ones still intersted in the DA's decision ? What does Paul Gallegos do to EARN his $100K plus a year job?
Sorry to get off track but this issue needs to be resolved and the District Atorney needs sto be held accountable.
The Humboldt County District Attorney gets $11,256.00 per month, or just over $135,000.00 per year. Plus medical benefits for him and his family, retirement, free internet access, free cellular telephone, and so on. Not to mention any under the table "things" or favors he may get. Like free lunchs, dinners, and so on.
$135,000.00 per year is a lot of dinero. What has PG done to earn this money ? I don't know. What has he done to improve the efficiency or effectiveness of his office ? What has he done to improve the working conditions of his employee's ?
I guess PG is going to get a free pass on his misdeeds? People seem to just accept PG's actions/inaction and performance in general.
PG will not release his opinion or decesion on the Moore case because any way you slice it he will take an abundance of abuse in the papers and the blogs. Since PG is a coward by nature he is doing the cowardly thing.
Nothing will change in Humboldt. They decay and corruption is too deep. Time to sell your property and move.
It is my observation that Gallegos hesitates when he knows what he is being pushed into doing is wrong - whether it be firing people, or filing the PL appeal. One can only conclude that he has not yet found a way to do what his handlers want him to do, with respect to the Cheri Lynn Moore case.
Whoa, you really got em with this one Rose! Such stupidity! So does this person, ie, RS, get paid to do this? Honestly Rose you need to delete the 100+- posts that he posted. What a waste of space and it took me awhile to get the one before he started. What an asinine thing to do, but is so, just like him! D.
Thanks, ΛΕΟΝΙΔΑΣ, I've got him. And it doesn't appear to be Richard Salzman, unless he is posting from a new venue. He may be wearing it, but this is someone else.
And yeah - I am going to delete them this time. 130 some identical "comments" is just too much for anyone to have to scroll though.
I liked your connection to George Soros in a previous post-what have you learned since then? I've been reading that Soros is putting big money into legalizing drugs...but why would he want to start in a podunk place like Humboldt?
Where else is he putting in this much effort-if in fact he is the man behind the curtain?
Paul Gallegos must be about to pull up stakes-when exactly is the next election? But, I don't think his exit date is tied to that. Any bets on? Tell us if there is a pool we 'bloggers' can get in on...
Re: Paul's plans - there are alot of rumors floating around that seem to have a common thread. Haven't figured out what is and isn't accurate yet. If he goes back into the private sector, more power to him. All scrutiny would cease. Maybe Rauckauckas would hire him, they think so highy of him.
Regarding the Soros agenda - I've maintained all along that implementing things like Salzman's Plan set precedent in law, and set the stage for other activist groups in other places to use the public judicial system to accomplish their agendas.
Paul and the pot agenda? Plenty of links.
What I don't get is why his handlers, who used the pot issue to get him in - and pass the more lenient prosecutorial guidelines, why, being pro-pot they are so anti-Rodoni, who was the only Supervisor ever to speak out against CAMP.
That tells you alot about what the true priority is - get Palco.
Alot of effort went into trying to eliminate Rodoni from the equation - keep him from voting because they suspected he would not vote their way. Enormous effort, really.
They get away with it because no one pays attention, there is no institutional memory in the press, and no scrutiny of the issues in the various activist group press releases. The easy rhetoric carries the day.
And you end up with a mess in the DA's office that will take a decade to fix.
A production by Enron Corp. These guys probably haven't left a highrise in ages. How disconnected with the environment can you get? Sorry...I'm two minutes in and I need to go puke in the toilet. Next you are going to tell us how it's all Gallegos' fault...you sure do love your "theories."
I can see why it would make you ill. Makes ya dizzy when you think the earth is round, and not flat after all?
Did you get to the part where they say Gore is right - about one thing, but it is what he DOESN'T tell you that is really key?
Try again. I had to sit through the "Inconvenient Truth" though I have to admit, it belongs more on the comedy channel, so it was my sides aching from laughing about the way he had been packaged that really got me.

ReplyDeleteAl Gore won't be your friend .....
ReplyDeleteAl Gore is a sanctimonius boob. A wooden, boring hypocritical boob. On second thought, that is an insult to boobs everywhere.

ReplyDeletePG should get pressure to get off the fence. Make a decision one way or the other. He is such a coward.

If it isn't Salzman, may be Miller or Lovelace...could even be Nichol's....

Rose,
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the link to the documentary?
Tx, Don Z
They pulled it down - I have posted a new link - and you can search "Great Global Warming Swindle" - there are many independent posting sof it.
ReplyDeleteNow who would pull that down?
A note on one of the postings suggests that you download it before Google pulls it down. Why would Google do that? Do they do that?
