Lethal levels

Of Meth.

In his system.

4 dead.

Others maimed.

A horrific accident.

A community stunned.

Families devastated.

Unimaginable pain. Anguish.

A habitual user?

Were all those teenagers exposed to this on a daily basis? Was watching their parents destroy themselves a part of their life? Did they say, Dad, Mom, you shouldn't oughtta be doing this stuff? And did it fall on deaf ears? And how many more like this are out there right now?

So, if you are a user, or a dealer - does this wake you up at all? Do you keep on using? Or do you have the will to get clean?

Toxicology Report Reveals Driver in Fatal Hydesville Accident Intoxicated INTOXICATED? INTOXICATED?

"Daniel Morris was very high, and his methamphetamine level was at 0.77 mg/L," said Deputy Coroner Roy Horton. "Methamphetamine levels are potentially toxic around 0.2 mg/L, and that's been known to kill."

Morris, a 40-year-old Fortuna resident, died in the crash. He was driving a 2002 Dodge Dakota pickup truck just east of Fisher Road near Hydesville around 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 10 when the vehicle veered off the road and ran head-on into a tree, according to a California Highway Patrol press release. Three other Fortuna residents, including 33-year-old Alisha Marie Summerfield, her 13-year-old daughter Judith Maxine Martin and 20-year-old Savanna Nicole Line Ramirez were also killed.

  1. Does every drunk driving accident cause you to stop wanting to drink red wine? Do you even think before you post your vile, offensive bs? You should take this down before the family sees it. You've gone too far. Seriously

    1. Ok take the side of people who use 3X the FATAL amount of Meth, an illegal drug, and then kill innocent 13 year olds. Me I will continue to believe that drug addicts are vile, but for you Rose is vile and the child-killers are AOK. Let me know how that argument works out for you.

    2. How can one "take the side" of a dead person? What does that mean?

If you think drug addicts are vile, then fine. I prefer to think of those people as sick and needing help. I prefer to think that the people ridiculing the sick, the poor and the weak are the vile anti human, anti Christian people of the world. That argument works out for me real well.

    3. They are criminals. If the guy was not dead, he would be charged with multiple counts of Murder. Try this one for size. Go to the grave of the DEAD 13-year old who never got to choose her life (Daniel Morris did.) and say I support the criminal who killed you. Too bad your dead, because I think drug addicts are just ill people as opposed to criminals. Let's see if that makes you a Christian. Oh since we are on this religious rant, is Daniel in HELL or in HEAVEN?

    4. Its only a crime because beaurocrats say so. Stop being such a follower and think for yourself.

Jesus was asked ONCE how one gets into heaven. He responded, "those who fed me when i was hungry, took care of me when I was sick and housed me when I was cold will see heaven"....I realize that Rose runs a judgemental website and that this post is meant to judge a dead person, but I'm not qualified to say whether or not David makes it to heaven, hell or nirvana....

    5. The vast majority of drug addicts are addicted to LEGAL prescribed drugs. Reducing society's problems to arguments as simplistic as "they are just all criminals" gets us nowhere. Its surely not uniter talk. Its divider talk

    6. Fuck you 9:02. Driving under the influence is a crime and killing people under the Influence is a violent crime. You disgust me. Hope nobody you love has been killed or maimed by these criminals. Unfortunately my family has. So fuck off you criminal loving ass.

  2. Every drunk driver should quit. Every methhead should quit. Being offended is better than being dead.

    1. What in gods name are you talking about? Rose calling dead people druggies is saving lives? Is she calli g for alcohol to be illegal too. And jail alcohol users? Or is she just spreading her usual brand of hatred and bitterness towards her common man?

  3. Yes. People who do drugs ARE different than people who drink. And the effect on their families is vastly different. And Meth is vastly different than Pot. If you think it doesn't affect teenagers, you're crazy.

And - LETHAL LEVELS OF METH - that didn't just happen. At least one person in that vehicle had to have known he was using.

LETHAL LEVELS is not just 'over the limit.'

    1. Many many more families experience abusive relationships due to alcohol than drugs. Many many many more people die from drunk driving accidents than drugged driving. Many more fights outside of bars are caused by alcohol than drugs. Alcohol is a drug. Open your ears and read again. Alcohol is a drug. You may think that you are superior due to your drug of choice, but you aren't.

    2. Exploiting a families death in order to promote your little witchhunt on the "druggies" is sick and you know it. How dare you speculate on their day to day activities? Do you do that for every drunk driving accident? Prod into how much they drank? Should we really start that? Wasn't roger rodoni drunk when he crashed and died?

    3. Me thinks Rose enjoys her Pinot Girgio thus justifies alcohol as an acceptable social drug for adults

  4. Or maybe you don't know. You were obviously raised wrong. Take down this entire post. Youare talking crap about dead people that you have never met! Doesn't that strike you as odd? Or even the slightest bit freaking evil?

  5. Conversations about addiction are hard. They feel ugly. Feelings get hurt. But these discussions are essential. Speaking as a third generation alcoholic(at least), who is trying to help his mother face her disease, it's like going to war. Mistakes are made, blood gets spilled, misery is constant. But the conflict is necessary, the bloodshed honorable. Bless those willing to face front and bear the burden. Regrets for those who feel they are collateral damage. It's a war. It must be fought.

    1. This post is a discussion about an automobile accident, not addiction. Rose posed NO evidence of addiction, just speculation about people she had never met.

I feel sorry for your mother and your family's drinking problems, but lets be honest here. Rose is clearly excusing alcohol dependency as LESS of an addiction than other "drugs". That's not a real discussion about addiction.

    2. If Daniel Morris was consuming Alcohol at lethal levels and driving, I would be just as outraged. It is true DUIs and Alcohol cause more problems. That is why I don't do drugs or drink Alcohol. It is called living a healthy lifestyle. If Daniel Morris had 3X the lethal level of Meth, he was an addict. Guaranteed. He didn't just start out as that. Yes shaming addicts and tough love is an acceptable treatment method. If he had just died alone then the community would not be in uproars. HE KILLED AN INNOCENT 13 YEAR OLD CHILD. Do you know any 13 year olds in your life. What if they were taken away from you. How would you feel. Most people in Humboldt Cty don't like drug addicts!

  6. LETHAL LEVELS OF METH. Not a legal substance. Not a few too many beers. LETHAL LEVELS OF METH. When did he take it? Who in the car knew? Did the kids know? Where did he get it?

There've been thousands of comments on this accident, condemning the Mom for letting the kids ride in the back of the pickup, and you're complaining that LETHAL LEVELS OF METH is pointed out? You're sick.

They could have safely ridden in that truck bed, IF he was sober/unimpaired. And yes, it would be just as bad if he had LETHAL LEVELS of alcohol, because again, it would mean he did it all before he got behind the wheel. In that case, they'd likely KNOW, have seen him drinking, or smelled it on his breath, and have had a chance to say NO, or choose an alternate driver.

  7. For all of you defending this low life and making it about drugs versus alcohol, you are pathetic.

Grow a pair, deal with life without drugs. Society is not responsible because you prefer to snort or shoot up instead of having self control.

There is rehab, he did not chose that option. The only judgment is the anti Christian trolls justifying anything goes, at any expense.

  8. Simmer down folks, get outside and enjoy the sunshine.

If you need a good laugh, read Rose's other Republican blog. I read the posts around date of the 2012 presidential election. Lots of gems.

    http://web.humboldtgop.org/2012_11_04_archive.html

My favorite entry is the fear mongering about the pending collapse in 2013 of the financial markets. Wall Street needed a Romney win to survive without another historical collapse like 2008 under Bush's watch.

"Watch what happens in the next six months. The Dow alone lost 314 points today. There’s a tsunami coming and if you didn’t think this election had consequences, just wait.”

Meanwhile, the markets had a record year, up over 30%. Ya just gotta love Rose's bullshit.

  9. I'm beginning to question whether it's bs or its the case that she is just plain stupid. A lazy thinker. Almost a non thinker. People like her who can only see black and white lack the intelligence to observe the nuance in life. Reading her posts, I assume she was just raisedan wrong. Most likely by anti-intellectualls
