I agree with John on this

Public safety changes that can be enacted before November and won't cost us a dime; Paul step down, let Maggie take over - John Chiv/Words Worth

This not showing up for cases, and when you do, showing up unprepared, would not be tolerated in a low-level hire, and it should not be tolerated in a highly paid District Attorney, even if he does have senioritis. Even if he gave himself lame-duck status. Even. If.

For God's sake, your supporters tout your intelligence and competence, can't you at least throw them a bone and show up for court prepared? Give them a little tiny reason to be proud of having slavishly supported you all these years.

  1. There is even a precedent for it. The DA of Solano County (who was actually defeated for re-election) just resigned to take a gig with the SF DA, 5 months early. The DA elect is now the DA. Done. If Ms. Fleming had guts, she would call on Paul to do the same. If he says no, then maybe the County can start docking his pay! http://www.timesheraldonline.com/breaking_news/ci_26296603/solano-county-da-du-bain-makes-early-exit

  3. Stoopid Google. Oh well. Try again. That's me and my dog blue btw from a facebook photo from i don't know how many years ago.

Anyway my comment was, for now the third time. Maybe Paul should respect his supporters and those that voted for him rather than taking advise from the mother of all concern trolls and John. Or in other words, I disagree with John on this, (which is just as noteworthy as you agreeing with John on something Rose)

  4. Proving once again that standards don't matter, competence doesn't matter, all that matters is that you're 'in the club' - then it doesn't matter if you're paid some hundred fifty grand to show up for work, and you don't. Oh, well, Jon, what difference, at this point, does it make?

Who cares if the judges have to reschedule other trials as he delays one after another, having failed in even the most basic requirements, like getting the discovery to the defense (I'd think, in your social justice mindset, you'd care about THAT at least), who cares if the victims of crimes aren't notified as to the plea deals that are cooked up, who cares. Not you.

  5. I give up. I lost another post. I hate blogger.

Rose great points as usual. In truth I struggle to keep up with you and the true-ness of your type-words. Keep giving DA Gallegos hell, he needs to quit yesterday, Obama should be impeached, Gray Davis was rightfully removed with a movement that began just weeks after his election, Bill Clinton lied to a jury, how is it possible he didn't lose his job, and locally the GPU should be rewritten because a new set of sheriffs now control the process.

OK, I was able to make my point after all but I did have to resort to sarcasm the second time out of laziness.

  7. You were on a roll, too, Jon! Til that last sentence :)

I'm sorry you don't recognize the fact that when someone is hired to do a job, they are expected to do it. Instead you console yourself with flowery words about your good intentions, and fail to see the results. Or see it and don't care.

I don't know how long you've been paying attention - but Gray Davis was voted out pretty much bi-partisanly. He was a vicious campaigner, and people didn't see that the first time, but it showed the second time, and then he failed spectacularly too, only people were honest enough to call it out and rectify it rather than console themselves with soothing partisan rhetoric... I see you do recognize Clinton's foibles, but again, you don't CARE, because. the . club.

And again, you refuse to admit that when little agenda driven easter eggs are tucked into the General Plan, and are discovered, and disavowed by their authors, that this necessitates are full review to ensure that there aren't more hidden in there. Because. the. club.

But if the tucked in passage had said all citizens must own a gun, so as to be able to protect the community, you'd have a cow. Or if it said you must own property in order to vote, you'd scream bloody murder - and you SHOULD. That would be JUST AS WRONG as tucking in a passage designed to use the govt to encourage abortion because your ilk believe certain things and want them codified into ordinances that you can later stand on and make demands, or pass penalties.

And the funniest thing is, you see it, But you don't.

  8. Something else you don't know, Jon - is what is said about him in private by people all around the courthouse. All i do is say it out loud instead of hiding in the shadows. It's all well known. It's not even in dispute any longer. Or - maybe you do actually know this, too, but again, CHOOSE not to care. Because. The. Club.

  9. Gallegos got elected, and should finish his term, leaving a record that will stand to remind people how important elections are. He was inexperienced, lazy, mendacious, glib, and amoral; voters were told this: they elected him anyway.

    1. No if Gallegos is not doing his job, then he needs to resign. Apparently he is prosecuting the Eddie Lee Murder case. He already royally screwed up the Co-Def. case, Limmie Curry, so this will be another waste of time. He uses his screw-ups in that case as an excuse to not do his work in the other cases. Incompetence abounds. Imagine the message he is sending to the attorneys who work for him. Just disgusting.

  10. Meanwhile, Rose still believes that Sarah Palin would be a better, more qualified President than Barak Obama

    1. Yes Sarah Palin would be a better President. Barack Obama talks and takes no action. No one has any respect for him world wide.He cowers to Putin. He sits silently while genocide occurs in the Middle East.

    4. Anon 9:38 PM and Anon 6:50 AM are the same person?!? That is too funny (if true)

Although it would be even more amusing if Rose were to concur with Anon 9:38 PM

    5. More likely that you 12:49 PM and 6:50 AM are the same.

    6. Or would it be 9:38 PM & 6:39 PM

  11. Yes. He ran, he got elected, he doesn't get out early from the mess he made. He's sending the same message he has senf for 12 years. Disgusting? Sure. But he is responsible for that. He and the voters. Those who elected him are getting the government they deserve, and should drink down every last drop of their medicine. Chiv will provide the details, and perhaps Ms. Jackson will ride to the rescue again, as this sorry story plays out to the last miserable scene.

  12. So 9:41 just because stoned morons elected Paul, justice should suffer for another four months because you are bitter.

People like you do nothing. That is why pretty boy Paulie got elected.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Oh no, I voted against him every time, donated to his opponents and did my best to inform folks what they were getting. So I did my bit to keep PBP out of office. He got the votes of stoned morons, for sure, but far more people chose not to vote that voted. Low turnout has consequences. He does not get to make a mess and walk away early, he gets to take responsibility right down to his last day. And so do those who actively or passively got him into office. Three times.

    1. It is not making a mess and walking away early. He is actually damaging cases and harming justice right now. It appears that the Fleming folks are awfully silent on this. If they truly believed in her and thought she could fix it, they would be clamoring for this too. If you think Paul will fix this in the >5 months he has left, you are wrong. He will make it worse. One would think the Fleming folks would not want it to be worse for her, but oh well. It continues to be a great time to be a criminal in Humboldt County.

  14. It is no part of an newly elected's responsibility, and is in fact a gross violation of propriety, to demand or to expect the incumbent to resign early. Quite the contrary, newly elected officials should respect their predecessors, and not rush into office before time. If Gallegos resigns, there is no clear pathway for Fleming to take office. Rather, Ms. Neel or whoever is number two there, would serve until Fleming's term begins.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Ms. Neel would be great for Paul's remaining term. Maggie can step in, if asked by Supervisors.

All this is moot because Paulie boy continues to collect a paycheck he does not deserve.

The stoned morons and the useless media both played a role in propping Paul.
