Watching the Board meeting today

Mark Lovelace is earning his keep today. It's funny to watch him pretend he cares about timber production. The truth is he cares about stopping all development.

Good going, Denver Nelson.

  2. Obviously you do, or you wouldn't be here. It's because you know I am right.

  3. I take her very serious and fear the midget will just keep his power grab growing while killing growth in our county. Worse of all,is that he thinks he can change the rules to support his ugly whims. Sure hope the applicants sue the counties ass off. Mark is an ego maniac and a fool but he has two other idiots voting with him.

  6. Hardy-har-har, laughing boy's got his Progressive knickers in a knot but laughs at the pain. Such heroic fortitude or is it just plain old stupidity that can't see the obvious that everyone not mentally paralyzed by ideology can see?

  7. Whether or not you personally like Mark's policies is irrelevant. He reflects the values of the majority of the constituents he represents and is doing the job that the majority who voted for him expected him to do. Any elected official who accomplishes this as well as Mark has is a success.

  8. Yeah, he really cares about the property owners, and the constituents of the county. NOT.

  9. Mark wasn't elected by the constituents of the county. He was elected by constituents of the Third District and he is doing the job they expect.

There's a reason we elect our county supervisors by district, rather than at-large countywide. It's the same reason we don't allow voters in San Francisco or Southern California to vote for who represents the North Coast in Congress or the Legislature.

  10. I'm a 3rd district conservative who doesn't support my supervisor. I purchased multiple TPZ properties with the intend to subdivide & develop. Loveless wants to see my property become worthless because obviously I'm not going to make any money in timber production. Loveless and Neely are looking to rob my families future for the sake of some environmental bullshit.

  11. You're close 7:47 but you don't get your cigar. Yet. Mark has a real hidden agenda. He is desperately trying to grow a big boy penis. Ken promised him one if he won the election. Bonnie got Cliffs for her adadicktome and both Jimmy and Jill have more balls than the midget. No matter how hard you try to screw the public Mark, you will always be a dickless little weasel. Now you can have your cigar 7:47

  12. 10:47 Well, your side lost, didn't it. At this point, it doesn't make any difference who you "support."

  13. Thanks for your support, but I don't see how calling someone dickless helps our arguement.

All I want to do is see my investment thru. I purchased properties because the tax shelter made these properties the best opportunity to make money. I'll admit that I don't care about timber production, but I'm allowed under current planning code to subdivide and develop. Seriously, what's wrong with that?

  14. Laughing because, a.) after 23 years as Supervisor, Bonnie has to ask if there is a difference between Assessor Parcels and Legal Parcels. and b.) Lovelace is so transparent. He ain't there for his constituents, he is there for something entirely unrelated.

you can't subdivide TPZ property. if somebody told you that at planning or your real estate agent, you were seriously misled. it has to go through a 10 year slideout and get rezoned from tpz. you have to apply at the planning department and get approval from CDF. you should be able to build on these properties at the rate of one unit per parcel, but if you bought these properties for the purposes you state, you are a fool. you know what they say about fools and their money.

  16. I'll light that cigar for you when you realize that the symbolism of Marks search for a penis is the real issue. He will sell his soul to the highest bidder and your civil liberties and property rights for the lowest common denominator in his quest. You must clearly understand the problem to find a solution. Bik in hand.

  17. Lovelace and his mentors have been about nothing but stopping timber production. Sometimes you have to wonder if they are really trying to scam to get the land.

Lovelace deliberately skews the tax protection afforded to TPZ landholders, deliberately characterizes the property owners as getting away with something, when he knows full well what the truth is.

And he would deliberately post a comment such as the one above, making the landowners out to be evil developers.

While there may be a few, most buy property so that they can live a private and peaceful life, close to the land.

Some buy property knowing it is splittable, intending to split off and sell some portion in order to a.) afford the purchase itself, and b.) build a home.

Only in Lovelace's twisted view of the world do the back to the landers and self sufficient people become evil, as he pushes for the infill agenda he was paid to promote - and for all we know still is being paid to promote.

We definitely ought to be asking why Ken Miller is so interested in all the timber properties - it wasn't ever just Palco, something all the timber companies and property owners failed to recognize. He's got his merry band's sights set on properties surrounding McKinleyville now. If he is successful in devaluing them, wonder if he'll pick it up for himself. Certainly would be one explanation wouldn't it?

  18. What was that transition mission any way ?

  19. Hind site is 20/20. Read stuff Rose has posted in the past. Compare it to what happened. She is not quite 100% but a whole lot of what she predicted has come true. Mark talks out of the side of his mouth. Has been involved with Local Solutions from almost the start. He was not elected by the majority of 3rd district but by majority of the folks who voted. Part of the beauty of LS is their organizational ability. Who ever had heard of ACORN 5 years ago. Salzman and Twombly came here on a mission. They were sent, no doubt of it looking back. Also they had support from the outside. If it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck and looks like a duck it might just be a duck.
