  1. Groovy poster, Rose!

Appropriate for the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock.

  2. One of the lesser known facts about psychedelic art was where the lettering came from. It didn't come from psychedelic drug experience. Just like our Chicano peers, there were high school artists such as myself who were doodling letters, making them fanciful designs, in high school during the 1950's. That's where we started our "psychedelic" lettering which became more perfected during the '60's. And of course, the ad world picked it up, thanks to commercial sellouts like Peter Max, and those "psychedelic" lettering in posters and all over became part of America's art heritage.

  3. I would have liked to seen George Washington toking over the line myself!

  4. Love it Stephen! Not only are you a complete wackjob, you invented the psychedelic lettering font made famous by Bill Graham and Chet Helms concert posters!

  5. You can't read, can you. Go back, Steve-lover, and re-read what I wrote. Fillmore poster lettering was "invented" in the 1950's by who knows how many high school artists. I was just one of them. And btw, thanks to sheeple like you, the real Fillmore artists didn't get hardly zip for their work. I know because I used to work with one of them in the Hartsook Inn kitchen. Sheeple just were interested in the Big Names as your comment shows which can't even distinguish between concert organizers and poster artists.
