Bulldozer ready
Richardson's Grove it isn't. Big enough to give Ken Miller a coronary though. My how the worm does turn. It's logging. Sorta kinda. With a fancy new description that makes it all eco-kosher and all.
The Division of Forestry in Nevada's Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has been awarded Nevada's first stimulus funded grant. The $1.3 million forest protection and green energy project already underway has created 26 jobs and saved three others, all in Lincoln County, which has an unemployment rate well above the national average. The undertaking will reduce hazardous fuel loads by removing encroaching Juniper and Pinyon trees (both highly flammable), improving forest ecosystems, helping prevent forest fires, and creating biomass for use as green energy. Work is taking place in or along Beaver Dam, Spring Valley and Echo Canyon State Parks, as well as along parts of Highway 93 and State Route 319.
The project began on March, 30, 2009 and the Nevada Division of Forestry has so far cleared 287.7 acres and produced 3,767 cubic yards of biomass. The biomass is being used as mulch and green energy, with 2,700 cubic yards being used as green energy at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City, and 1,067 cubic yards chipped and spread on site as mulch. http://www.recovery.gov/
You ready to cut down Richardson's Grove?
ReplyDeleteWho has ever said anything about cutting down Richardson's Grove?
ReplyDeleteCut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste Cut & Paste
ReplyDeleteLet them call it whatever they want as long as people are getting work from the stimulus money.
ReplyDeleteI see you had a troll visit this morning.
I hope the rest of the comments stay on thread.
speaking of ken miller and logging, anyone see the old trees being cut down by ken's house on beach road? huge pines must have made a mess of the yard. Anyone know if the tree hugger himself is involved?
ReplyDeleteCan't figure out whether you are against creating biomass for green energy or the stimulus bill that is creating jobs. You don't like Ken Miller, that's obvious, but I already knew that.
ReplyDeletePffffttt!!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah. Against "creating biomass" - because THAT's what they're calling it now. I guess that makes it palatable. It's is a hysterical joke. Even funnier that you've got people falling all over themselves to compliment the Emperor's GORGEOUS bejeweled robes. Why, they sparkle in the sunlight, and you can see the entire solar system with your kool-aid drugged eyes.
Never mind that you've been all about STOPPING logging - it's a complete flip.
And, no, the trees near Ken's house are not on his property (unless he owns multiple pieces there) - he must be getting migraines though, from the pain of seeing such destruction. You know how Richardson's Grove is affecting him, and that is miles away. Or maybe some trees are more equal than others.
Low growing juniper and pinion are creating a fire hazard by encroaching on healthy forest ecosystems. They are resinous and highly flammable, as such, form a bridge for ground fires to the upper story of forests.
ReplyDeleteIt is laughable that you have evoked the name of Ken Miller when his concern about the realignment has to do with future growth and the pressure that will put on resources and the quality of life here.
If you are referring to President Obama with that remark about the Emperor's GORGEOUS bejeweled robes, then you're 'barking', and should get back inside before you disturb your neighbors and someone complains to the authorities again.
This is not a clear cut logging operation, Rose. They are clearing brush and chipping it up on the spot to be put to use as mulch and to generate energy.
Facts are something our little Rosie has a problem with. Look at the evolution of her blog. Rose started out here obsessed with the District Attorney. Month after month she would spew her lies and distort reality. All in some bizzare attempt to get his attention; now having been shut out in the cold by Paul, all she can do is cut & paste the work of others, treading water until she imagines another opportunity to try and make blog waves. It's the kind of activity you expect from the neibhorhood feral cat, stalking the dumpster and playing coy with those who are here to help.
ReplyDeleteAnd you do need help Rosie. Even if your focus has shifted. You still need help.
12:53 - better look in the mirror. You have NO focus except for to troll around here. Talk about needing help. Try a therapist and some xanax before you completely unravel.
ReplyDeleteRose doesn't need any help, she does need mindless nasty nobs like you to keep on posting your drivel so we can get a glimpse into your closeminded nasty little brain.
Keep it up Rosie, the troll at 12:53 is coming completely unraveled. Seems like you hit a nerve.
I'm still waiting for Gallegos to storm Rosie's home and assassinate her. It was something that Rose herself predicted following the revelation that Gallegos bought guns (Oh No!) for his investigators.
ReplyDeleteHuh?
ReplyDeleteAre you off your meds, Rose?
Your post makes no sense. Even after smoking a fat doobie and trying to find some dark humor in your rant, it still remains completely unintelligible.
Rose is 12:40 posing as an anonymous poster. She claims that she (Rose) hit a nerve. Rose, you are so dishonest.
ReplyDeleteThe trouble with allowing anonymous comments, as any blogger knows, is I can't PROVE you're wrong, anon, but you are, in fact, wrong.
ReplyDelete"Struck a nerve" is a pretty common phrase here, and one that's pretty apt in your case.
What drew you out?
"Struck a nerve" is an exceedingly common phrase associated with this blog and usually attributable to you, Rose. But, go ahead, blow your own whistle when no one else will. Really, it makes it look like you have whipped up support from some sad and lonely mental case - but, we know it's just you.
ReplyDeleteSo now slash is called biomass??
ReplyDeleteIt's all a matter of semantic rhetoric. But more importantly, it's who is saying it that makes it A-OK with the activist extortionists, or verboten. Some pigs are more equal than others.
ReplyDeleteSo that's your problem. Good for the environment means bad to Rose - bad for the environment means good. Well I see no reason for you to take a neutral position, but, why you have your butt hairs all in a tangle over this...
ReplyDeleteYou're just evil.
Good for the environment is a great thing. We were all there in the 70s - it ain't new.
ReplyDeleteGood for the predatory litigant parasites is an entirely different matter. Good for the malignant narcissists who hijack the high ideals of others and generate funding off of denigrating scare tactics is another thing entirely.
"Environmentalist orgs" are the new Corporations, and they care even less about the wake of destruction that follows them, they are after all sacred cows, how dare you criticize them?
I saw nothing in the article that mentioned litigants. Your response conflated a number of issues unrelated to the article. You made outlandish statements that have no basis in truth in order to buttress more of the same. You even compare "environmentalist orgs" to corporations when everybody knows you hate the orgs and love the corporations. For God's sake Rose, go get a brain scan.
