How do you tell who the Local Solutions/Salzman candidate is?

He signs his fundraising pleas "In Solidarity." But he is no Lech Walesa.

  1. You can? Do they have a copywrite on that or are you just trying to smear a candidate you don't like with guilt by association? Have you no honor or integrity left? You probably never had any to begin with.

  2. Sent out over Salzman's listserve, no less. Wanna talk about honor and integrity?

  3. I take that back - info@georgeclark.org , not Salzman

  4. Funny thing is, though - people who are getting it NEVER signed up for George's emails. He is using Richard's list.

  5. Isn't Clif Clendenen getting the same 'backing' by Local Solutions/Salzman et al (using the mailing list money et al). Just wondering why that wasn't mentioned.

  6. Rose's next move will be to link Obama's campaign with Salzman. Shouldn't be too hard given her nutty reasoning.

  7. Well, DT, mostly because they're not sending anything out on that right now. But if you mean the 'listening tour' - the "Local Solutions" survey of Fortuna so that they could pretend that he was only saying what all Fortunans wanted to hear? So they could gather material for the spin? Yeah, stuff like that. the listserve, however, was anti-Rodoni, sent out Fennel and Clendenen pieces, was also pro-Lovelace. Maybe they couldn't be as pro Clif as they wanted to be for fear of offending Estelle, united in the hatred of Rodoni, but Clark so far is very extreme, reminiscent of the old "local Solutions/Salzman shenanigans. And the rhetoric is as extreme (out there) as it can be.

He may be a nice guy, but getting in bed with these people doesn't speak well for him.

As for you, 3:34 - I don't have to make anything up about that and I think you know it, as does anyone who gets the Salzman messages, no matter which one you signed up for you seem to get them all - but here, just for your reading pleasure: Redwood Progressive CAMP OBAMA-JUNE 28TH in Eureka Sat, 6/7/08 - Does it mean anything? Probably not.

  8. Camp Obama, oh boy I can't wait. Maybe someone can explain to me how the "re-disritbution of wealth" is going to go. Are they going to serve Koolaid and hand out ear, nose, mouth plugs ????

Kind of sounds a bit like communism.

  9. More likely ACLU. somehow.

  10. the Loc_ Sul_ people knew I was/am for Roger and now Johanna as I used to work just 'down the hill' from them. Or as some might say "less then a pistol shot away." BTW - did you pick up the Fortuna Rodao poster this year, Roger put Jack Noble in it. He's down on the right hand cornor ...

Heck I was over at Miranda's Rescue today. Not the sort of place that one finds anyone from Loc_ Sul_. Not many of the 'cool' people there (besides my people) one set of dreads.

    dt's ...

  11. Just want to clear some things up, my blog friend, Rose.

Camp Obama was hosted by the Obama Campaign. Although, I didn't attend, I understand it was a successful event! There are several HSU students who had the opportunity to attend the California State Democratic Convention. One student, was elected to be the 1st alternate in our district to attend the Democratic National Convention in Colorado. You may have read in the newspaper that Greg and I were co-convener's for the Hillary Caucus held in Eureka a couple of months ago. Local retired Eureka High teacher, Pam Cahill, was elected at the caucus and will go to the convention. Greg and I were asked by Congressman Mike Thompson to run the caucus. It was a rewarding experience. Brandon Chapin was the male alternate for Hillary. Brandon has been elected to serve on the HCDCC and has been working with the state party, as well. He is a bright enthusuatic young man, majoring in politcal science.

  12. Nothing to clear up, Carol. It was merely a response to an anon, joking, to some degree. But if you are going to associate the campaign with known liars, you can expect that will be pointed out. If I were you, I would be working to distance from that.

  13. Well, Richard and LS aren't exactly in the same camp these days, but I guess you feel that's all a front or something.

But more importantly, "in Solidarity" predates Lech Walesa by about a century at least. The labor song "Solidarity Forever" was written around the turn of the 20th century I believe.

  14. Well, It's Salzman, Cienfuegos and Kerrigan who sign things that way. So IF the Local Solutions.Salzman split is for real, then this is a Salzman gig - unless his 'good angels' have taken hold and he is out of the nasty tricks biz. Nevertheless he is generic for nasty politics around here.

    So which is Clark?

  15. Eric is correct. There were changes to L.S. a couple of years ago. I don't know what they are doing these days.

I met George Clark at an event for Estelle. He was very nice and seems very sincere. He use to own Kyoto's Restaurant in Eureka. He has already opened his campaign HQ in Eureka.

  16. What do Lovelace, Neely, Glass, Gallegos and other progressive candidates have in common? If they are backed by Salzman, they win. That really bugs you. Right?

Next on the agenda are Clendenen, Clark and Atkins.

  17. OH LOOK! Sarah's been hitting the pens again!

Ahhh, so Richard Marks was right all along, Neely got in bed with Salzman. Shame on her. Shame on her. Shame on her.

Gallegos, look what a wonder you have produced. You must be so proud.

Lovelace - yet to be seen. Will he be your puppet? Or will he surprise you and you will be buying Dump Lovelace stickers and sending them out in plain brown wrappers. Time will tell.

  18. This is hilarious! Better check to see who signs their letters Yours truly, Very truly yours, Sincerely, Sincerely yours, etc. before you sign your next letter. You just never know who you might be associated with. In solidarity, Anonymous.

Does she really take herself seriously or is this tongue in cheek?
