Who is "heraldo?"

Clues.
Hank is on the trail and may well have answers he has not yet revealed.

"Heraldo's" none too happy about that.
Dandy praise for the Humboldt Herald

Eric finds it amusing.
Who is Heraldo?

And, the real question is - what does the propagandist have to fear from having his/her/it's/their identity known?

75 comments:

  1. Heraldo is afraid of me, that's for sure. He's chickenshit to debate with me. I think I'm the only one banned on Heraldo's blog which tells you that whoever "Heraldo" is, he's no match for Steve Lewis.

    ReplyDelete
  2. I've heard from a number of people who are blocked.

I'd say Hank has 'em running scared.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Well, it's good to know I'm not alone in the banned department. We've got to stop this identity fraud crap going on all the time with Progressive activists. False names, false organizations, anti-this, anti-that, never anything positive offered ever, just negative insults and unreasoned arguments based on politically correct slogans that if questioned, have the sloganeers reacting with smear jobs and attempts to stop the debate, stop the candidates, stop the opposition from having any voice.

Heraldo is a proven liar and coward. That's really the bottom line for anyone of integrity.

    ReplyDelete
  4. That's been the biggest surprise of all. The Liberal thought was supposed to embrace free speech, freedom of expression, diversity of thought. That was what "they" demanded, the right to say what wasn't politically popular ("speak truth to power:)

Now that the tide has turned in their favor, they are not willing to grant that same respect to others. The shut it down mentality extends to include those who disagree with them because as Orwell, put it all pigs are equal but some are more equal than others.'

Go to some of the activist forest blogs - try to get a comment on there. They are free to spread lies and disinformation and heavily edited videos that smear anyone they disagree with, anyone they choose really, and they operate with impunity.

The censorship and blocking of any opposing views is really astounding!

  5. Try this one - this guy is crying wolf about the Berkeley treesitters, trying to attain some measure of JuliaButterflyHill's glory...link on Hank's Pipes Oh, the poor put upon treesitters, the poor little trespassers.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Rose dear,

Why don't you and Stephen embrace free speech?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Anon 7:43, why don't you get your head out of your ass? I'm banned on Heraldo's blog because he doesn't believe in free speech when it comes to political opponents. That's what this is all about. Total hypocrisy on the part of Progs who claim to champion democracy but when push comes to shove are quite willing to put democratic rights including free speech at the back of the bus.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Can a fictional persona be afraid, Steven? Is an angry rant your idea of a debate?

You are guilty of smear jobs and negative insults in your attempts to stop open discussions. The Humboldt Herold blog is all about free speech and open discussion, but, like anything else that can be abused, it has to be regulated so that abusers, like yourself, don't run off shy persons, like myself. After all, not everyone is as gifted as you and The Hankster with verbal skills and bravery.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Wow! THAT is a trip. You subscribe to comments, get notified that Stephen posted a comment, and you actually RESPOND at 4:36AM? Wow.

No. "heraldo" is not about free speech. "heraldo" is a propaganda tool, used to influence reporters.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Yes, those stupid reporters who don't see things the way you do are victims of Heraldo's propaganda. The stupid majority of people who doesn't see things your way. An intelligent person might question who was the stupid one here.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yes, they would and they see right off the bat that anonymous cowards like yourself contribute only slander and smears of people doing good work in the community. Rose is Humboldt County's best investigative reporter for political crimes done in office locally. You are nothing, remember? Not even a name.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm not an investigative reporter. I do have ultimate respect for those who are - and one of the big differences between what I do and what they do is that they actually have to sit down with the people who will tell them lies and report what they say.

I don't have to do that. I'm not interested in hearing Gallegos, for example, spin me a yarn about how he is "weaning the office" from grant funding, when the reality is he either failed to apply or lost the grants.

They have to try to present information that is 'fair' to both sides, even if that means letting someone get away with it.

At any rate, this is not the blog that bashes the reporters. I understand the difficulty of what they do, the deadlines, the pressure, the low pay, and all that goes with it. Some of that being exhilaration at a story well done, great scoop, the thrill of the hunt.

That's why I resent people who try to play them.

    ReplyDelete
  13. So, just for the record, Rose, you and Stephen believe Heraldo is using investigative reporters to shape public opinion through the local fish wraps and the radio.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Well, no wonder the two of you are so afraid of Heraldo. It must be terribly frustrating watching all that power accumulating at the Humboldt Herald Central Command Post. Still, that is a pretty good chest slap you have going there, Stephen. Not quite as effective as Heraldo's comment blocker. But, hey, whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Afraid of "heraldo?" :) :)

    You are joking of course.

It is "heraldo" who is afraid. Why and of what I guess we will soon know.

And it'll be a big "so what?!?"

    ReplyDelete
  16. I haven't banned Heraldo on my blog because I'm not afraid to debate him or anyone for that matter yet Heraldo is afraid to debate me. So what does that tell you about who's afraid of who.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Heraldo is a fictional persona so therefore cannot be afraid. Steve and Rose are projecting.

    ReplyDelete
  18. PFFFT! THAT'S A PATHETIC ATTEMPT AT SPIN.

"heraldo" is a pseudonym used by a very real person or persons.

For all you know it is a team of people with a bank of computers, paid to blog about the issues certain people care about.

Scratch that. You obviously KNOW who it is and have a vested interest in protecting the secret.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Heraldo is a fictional persona and as such has nothing to fear from Stephen and Rose and is beyond their control.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Then why ban Stephen from his blog if he has "nothing to fear"? Pretty much an llogical response, Heraldonoid. Try the beyond their control--that might fly..in your face.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Looks like this has become a forum for the two nutjobs of the Humbodt blogsphere-

    ReplyDelete
  22. ive detected the fear and jealousy of heraldo's blog countless times by rose and others........fear mongering and threats are typical debate tactics these days...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hehehe, FEAR and JEALOUSY! Ooooh. Y'er crackin' me up, Theo.

What do YOU think heraldo is afraid of?

    ReplyDelete
  24. i think that heraldo is afraid of the same thing that im afraid of. having my business or my family or my job or my home threatened by freaks who read posts and have kneejerk reactions.

there is A REASON that i dont let my kids post pics or info on myspace. FREAKS are online and tend to stalk people. are you THAT dense?

the more that you push this issue, the less respect i have for you. trying to "out" people is bordering on psychopathic....

    ReplyDelete
  25. Not tryin' to out YOU, Theo. And I understand your concerns. As I've said before, we all had to face those issues and make our decisions.

Nevertheless, the great heraldo mystery is entertaining. I cannot imagine a scenario where heraldo is someone who has to fear losing his/her/its/their job(s) - unless, as I mentioned before, it works as County Counsel, or maybe works for Tom Herman or John Campbell.

Honestly, if we find out who it is, I suspect it will be a big "so what!"

There's nothing for he/she/it/they to fear.

    ReplyDelete
  26. "There's nothing for he/she/it/they to fear."

except for his/her family, job, home, or business.

i thought i just explained this rather clearly: Freaks on the internet stalk people!!! its a fact....

    ReplyDelete
  27. And Heraldo and so many anons are low-life slanderers and libelers of community leaders too, leading a pack of character assassins constantly attacking people on these blogs and that's a fact. This is Rose's blog and yet some idiot anon, 8:41, thinks she shouldn't post on her opinions on own blog.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Believe me, Theo, I am fully aware of the risks. Don't for one second think I'm not.

BUT - Imagine if THIS blog was anonymous. I had that option. Do you think that people wouldn't have tried to figure out who it was?

There is a difference between offering your opinion and making observations and conversation, which you do and other anons do, and making allegations.

In reality, a blog is like a conversation - at a party or a coffee shop or bar - these same conversations take place every day. Somewhere, heraldo is saying out loud everything he/she/it/they is saying here.

And lightening (LOL) doesn't strike him/her/it/them.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Imagine what it would be like having someone stalking you every where you went shouting out the same slanderous accusations that you are being libeled with on the local blogs. Steve Lewis is a stalker and a bully. Who would want to debate this mean spirited ass. You have taken over Eric's blog the same way and now you want to do the same at the Humboldt Herald. Keep slapping your chest, ape man. Wipe the spittle off your mouth. You are a spent prick, Lewis.

    ReplyDelete
  30. "BUT - Imagine if THIS blog was anonymous. I had that option.this blog is anonymous"

this blog IS anonymous....post a picture of yourself and your kids if its not....i want access to your kid's myspace pages also. why should they be able to hide? dont you want your family held liable for your opinions? that is what you are proposing.

being such a advocate for stalkers is strange. do you enjoy helping pedophiles too?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hiding in plain sight, I guess, Theo. Reporters know me (some at least), and they can call me. Salzman knows me - he even managed to get James Faulk to write a story - since Salzman was all upset about me sitting with Jill Geist and Allison Jackson at a Mike Thompson fundraiser.

Send me an email, Theo - I'll meet ya for coffee.

    ReplyDelete
  32. rose,
im married. are you bi? thats the only way i would be able to meet you. my wife doesnt allow me to play alone. but thanks for the offer.

im sure you could find some guys on craigslist or myspace. although they might be anonymous!!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Been nice talkin' to ya, Theo.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Oh, the Progs do hate me when I invade their turf and they actually have to defend their terrible anti-community political acts instead of preaching to the choir. Naughty naughty Steve for being such a meanie and picking on poor pitiful Progs!

    ReplyDelete
  35. You haven't made anyone defend anything, ape man. But, the turf that you regularly invade and defecate on, scent mark and claim as your own is Sohum Parlance. Stop touching yourself! Go wash your hands, stalker.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Such names...tsk, tsk. I recoil at the brutality of your remarks which not only are unsavory but without basis in fact.

I suggest that it is you who are projecting your base personality onto me. One only has to see that you use the type of language children use in their schoolyard bullying tactics. How old did you say you were?

    ReplyDelete
  37. What part of my comments have no basis in fact?

    ReplyDelete
  38. How old did you say you were?

    ReplyDelete
  39. You didn't reach the threshold for plausible deniability, Stephen. No T-shirt for you.

    ReplyDelete
  40. What? Are you making rules now? Do I have to be 21 to play? You started a one sided shit throwing contest and when I grabbed a turd and rubbed your face with it you complain. Typical cowardly behavior from a bully.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Uh, guys - other people ARE reading this.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Heraldo is a fictional persona and cannot be intimidated by the chest slapping ape man, Steve Lewis.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thanks Ken.

    ReplyDelete
  44. No, Ken is the 2nd shift team leader. I'm just one of a dozen paid bloggers working this bank of computers here. I work first shift at the Heraldo Herald Command Center.

    Want a free T-shirt?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Currently our T-shirts are in limited supply due to high demand. Sorry, we are out of "I'm Heraldo and you're not. But we do have the King Kong shirt with the superimposed picture of Stephen Lewis' head in place of Kong's. The picture is of King Steve Kong, a giant ape man, climbing the tallest building in Arkleyville. He is carrying the object of his affections, Erik Kirk, in his giant clenched fist. Only one 4x size left.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Oh, sorry. I must make a correction. Humboldt Herald Command Center. We have more shirts on order. Thanks for your interest.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oh, I forgot. The Kong shirt's caption reads - "King Steve Kong does Erik". Buy one for your kids!

    ReplyDelete
  48. 1st. bloggers tell the truth about themselves if you read carefully. 2nd. theo even though you are a phony and a complete waist of air no one should have any contact with your wife or children,if you have same. 3rd you are an annon not a sage. So sorry you think so. ROTFLMAO at your consistant stupidity.4th Go over to heraldo with your phony pals where insanity is welcome.5th. Rose, you have a lot of class putting up with theo-shit-for-brains.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Count them - five falsehoods.

    ReplyDelete
  50. 12:26,you are confused again swillwy wabbitt, Those weren't a list of your last 5 thoughts. Put that pipe down bro. Instead of trying to blog your confusion, your time might be better spent as Theo's is----- bi-jacking- off----

    ReplyDelete
  51. Oh,my God! LOL,LMAO.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Theo's last post on this thread was two days ago, "bro".

    ReplyDelete
  53. Thanks for proof positive that you morons can't process complex concepts, hell you can't even follow a simple blog thread,"BRO" Go back to heraldogressive.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Blog bouncers?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Stephen King, King Stephen, I like it!

And I can use the Kong for Kongressman! After I'm Supervisor, then Governor, then Kongressman, then President, then Emperor of the Universe..oops, treading on Sparky's turf there..but fantasizing along with these schoolyard nine-year old boys does grow quickly tiresome for adults.

Adult blog conversation..now wouldn't that be a surprise!

    ReplyDelete
  56. You've seen the video of what it would be like to conduct a business meeting if the attendees all acted the way people do on the blogs?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Adult conversation is preferable to nauseating political propaganda, aggressive self promotion, and alternating whine and bully techniques practiced by god's prophets self-appointed public address person. Mature adult behavior is not in your portfolio, Mr. Lewis.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Oh, ok. Back to the topic.

Heraldo is obviously someone directly connected to Paul Gallegos's office. The DA had had to be informed BEFORE these FBI raids happened and that's where "Heraldo" got his leaks. Ken Miller/EPIC/Salzman have access to the DA. That meand Heraldo is one or more of these people who are buddy-buddy with the DA.

I think it would be a good idea to check to see if Scheckman's properties are on the FBI lists.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Obviously Heraldo is better informed than you are and that is why you have to make shit up to get attention. Good enough for gossip if that is your thing. But, you are just regurgitating old news here. Why can't you come up with something original? You are good at making things up. Here let me kick-start your imagination. Why don't you float a rumor about Heraldo having an affair with the DA's wife. Wow! Now you have access. You have the DA's wife pulling strings on behalf of Heraldo. Why settle for mere infamy? Do something that makes you famous!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Wha-a-at?!?! :) I mean, Wha-a-at?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hit a nerve, I guess. Think about it. DA had to be informed of the FBI raid before it happened on his turf. Who's friends with the DA that hates cops?

    ReplyDelete
  62. By leaking insider information alerting potential targets of an FBI sting operation, "Heraldo" and Paul just might be breaking the law.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Who knew Steve Lewis would pop out of Rose's ass upon taking an enema? To bad some facts didn't follow. I've noticed that he know posts anonymously on the Steve Lewis Show.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Are Heraldo and Paul Gallegos breaking the law if the DA's office is leaking information to Heraldo? At the very least public trust is being deceived and exploited. Only cowards afraid to show themselves in public or post their names would want to divert attention away from what's going on in the DA's office by using kindergarten schoolyard name-calling.

    ReplyDelete
  65. The operable word being if. Politically based slander with no factual backing coming from known prog hater Steve Lewis on Watch Paul blog is not convincing. What level of name calling are prog and coward?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Name calling is different from actual descriptive terminology. For example, "Prog" has no negative connotations as it is only an abbreviation for "Progressive" except, for reasons that are obvious, "Prog" does now have a negative connotation due to the real actions of Progressive activists.

And "coward"? Well, look it up in the dictionary. It is the definitive word for anonymous posters who call people names, crappy names that are nothing but smears. A coward hides and will not stand up publicly for his/her acts. That's what many anonymous blog posters are. They hide their identities so their personal acts will not be known. It's a fact you can't erase from reality no matter how many names you call me.

    ReplyDelete
  67. What is your evidence that the DA's office is leaking information to Heraldo? You have attempted to link Ken Miller, Epic, and Salzman to the Humboldt Herald because you and Rose detect similar progressive political views. You both have tried and tried to make all the pieces of the puzzle fit together to no avail. You can't prove any link between Heraldo and anyone. Heraldo is a fictional persona. Stephen Lewis is an ass. But, go ahead, continue the heavy breathing even though you do not burden yourself with proof. In the tradition of your self proclaimed exotic kluknarc warrior heritage, Stephen Lewis, I expect that you will continue to blow hard.

    ReplyDelete
  68. This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.

    ReplyDelete
  69. To question aspects of police actions that resulted in the shooting deaths of several local citizens on a local blog that was also a forum for comment and discussion by everyone who cared to participate does not make Heraldo a cop hater. I realize free speech democracy is hard for you and Rose to adjust to, especially when there are so many idiots out there that hardly ever agree with your points of view. I understand that Ken Miller was asking questions and offering solutions that offended you. Still you will never convince me that turning a blind eye to important local events is a good recipe for a strong democracy. As far as Charles Hurwitz and his paid minions plundering Palco for all that it was worth in the shortest amount of time allowed by law, there is enough criminal conspiracy to fill a book. They pretty much did what they wanted to do. Those progressive environmentalists that organized to launch legal defense for healthy watersheds and intelligent forestry practices were forced into holding actions that did little to delay the liquidation logging practices instituted by Chas. and Co. But, healthy watersheds, salmon, and a sustainable forest economy are worth fighting for - even if you have to risk being called a hater while protecting that which you love. Only a fool could listen to your propaganda for more than thirty seconds and not recognize you for what you are - a vicious spewer of mean spirited propaganda that comes forth from the blackest part of your hateful soul.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Is that all you got? Not a blessed thing in your stupid anti-Palco rant that is so old that it's a dinosaur slogan because anti-environmentalists life you and your anti-Palco gang,Humboldt Watershed Council and EPIC are the two most environmentally irresponsible activists in Humboldt County. By aiming everyone against Palco, you ended up putting the Mattole and Eel rivers into jeopardy year after year because you jerks have directed all the environmental protection energy against Palco instead of the rural watershed damagers you should have been addressing all along.

Cop hating, Republican capitalist hating did that for you. Blinded you to your own greed for public attention by misdirecting the public. And Ken is on record for hating loggers as well as cops.

You guys are a menace to Humboldt's environment and society.

    ReplyDelete
  71. You may have smoked sacramental marijuana excessively or used LSD for recreation for what ever reason. Or maybe you have driven yourself insane believing in conspiracies that you have created in your mind while experiencing the psychoactive effects of those or some other drug. What ever. You are as transparent as the political punditry that I see on TV daily. Rural watershed damagers - homesteaders and their unimproved roads - is being addressed by the same people that you have so much hate for. You really have diminished your credibility.

    ReplyDelete
  72. And there's where you are wrong, 6:45. I haven't smoked any sacramental marijuana or taken any LSD an the clear facts are right there for everyone to see.

There is no question about what Ken Miller and Humboldt Watershed Council has done. In the beginning they may have been viewed as altruistic, but it is a pretty fair statement that now, pretty much everyone can see you for what you are.

You've obstructed enough Water Board meetings with you own incessant rants, and painted you own distorted picture long enough that it is clear to see.

Stephen, like him or not, has been saying all along that the homesteaders, with their cut in roads and diesel spills have done far more environmental damage than Palco ever did. And he has been proven right. Even when he was on the radio a few years ago, the homesteaders calling in agreed, and were concerned and dedicated to self examination and improvement. They were pretty impressive.

That stuff isn't being addressed by Humboldt Watershed Council. Haaarrff! What a JOKE. Unless that's what you call Healthy Humboldt's drive to keep people out of rural life. (PAID to do so, I might add.)

Good people, like Kym and her family and friends, will end up doing somethin, it loks like. Real people. Not paid activists and sue happy con men.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Stephen, this actual is a libelous statements, when you write:

"Richard Salzman is a convicted identity fraud..."

and for that, both you and Rose can be sued.

Salzman was never even charged with any crime, so he certainly was not convicted of fraud or anything else. If he has any lawyer friends who offer to work for free he could certainly sue you for leaving that up on your blog and make your life quite unpleasant. Name call all you want, but that is a false allegation of a criminal act and conviction. A pretty open and shut case, even if he's considered a public figure and I'm not sure he is. Better hope he doesn't read your blog.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Trying to figure out how to shut me down aren't you?

    Who are you, then?

    Natalynne or Richard?

Let Paul run on his record.

At any rate, since you are here obsessing over two year old posts, why didn't you correct the record back then? It's an easy correction -

You don't REALLY want to get started on talking about spreading lies, do you? In light of your recent activity? Or do you think you have covered your tracks?

    ReplyDelete
  75. (The comment at 6/30/2008 4:24 PM has been removed "by anonymous request" - as of course, we all know that while Richard Salzman was caught red-handed using other people names in a string of attack letters (see the Web of Lies links in the sidebar), and his computers seized, the CA Attorney General decided the case was insignificant and declined to pursue it. So he was convicted in the court of public opinion, but never in any formal sense of the word.

He was also caught sneaking around sticking "No Arkleyville" stickers on parking meters in the middle of the night - he was never convicted of vandalism.

His dirty tricks include mailing out 'Dump Geist' bumper stickers in plain brown wrappers in another one of his phony "grassroots" efforts.

But the latest shenanigans - they are beyond the pale. But people are on to the game.)
