20/20 - Is there really a global warming consensus?

  1. Climate change denialism is on its last legs - kind of a boutique hobby at this point. I'm sure it's reassuring to people who don't want to face such an epochal turn of events, but the serious money is on adapting to the change.

Good luck to John Stossel - given how little he has to work with, he does pretty well amplifying quibbles and showing how all those Nobel laureates and NASA scientists know less than him about natural processes.

  2. Almost shameful: Hoover buys into the Global Warming thing.

  3. I guess time will tell. I predict we will look back on this and laugh hysterically.

However, accepting that things are getting warmer means you should be preparing, thinking ahead - find out how warm it was here during the Renaissance, and how far north certain crops, like grapes, could be grown, start a business accordingly. It should be a boon for the agricultural industry. Tourism ought to improve here, too. I'm looking forward to growing corn and bougainvillea.

We can have an effect on alot of things, like pollution, and we should work on that, but to declare that global warming is caused by man is - well, sorry. Kevin, but - it's the root of the problem. Just our two differing opinions.

  4. Did you watch 60 minutes tonight Rose? Interesting story about the forest fires in the past decade, and global warming.

I hope you're right. Check the headline on the Washington Post site. It's not exactly giggle-inducing.

  7. Kind of like telling my girl friend that the thing on my dick is just a pimple. She may or may not believe it BUT to give credit to some whack job enviro nuts because it's growing doesn't make much sence either. Kind of like Mark Lovelace crying foul about Palco. He makes his living from Palco. Lots of (?)Pimples going round.
